Wonderful home, beautiful grounds! The house was set up with everything you could possibly need and was very comfortable. So inviting to arrive to soft music and warm lighting! Very good experience overall.

Great House

We really enjoy staying at this house. It is super quiet and a great place for us to chill out. You can simply sit on the terraces and look out across the valley for hours on end. We enjoy cooking in the spacious kitchen and relaxing with a glass of wine....or two. The location is great; the house is great. Always a good reason to return next year.

This place is a gem! So close to many wineries and basically 10-15 minutes to Newberg, Yamhill, Carlton and McMinnville. Perfect location and the views of vineyards and rolling hillsides was amazing. Easy check in/out and clear communication. Will definitely return.

Family get together

Such a lovely, peaceful setting to get together with family. Easy access for our elderly dad who grew up down the road a bit. The views reminded me of Tuscany with rolling hills of vineyards with comfortable covered outdoor seating for everyone to enjoy. Every detail was thoughtfully provided for our convenience. Arrival and departure was seamless.

WOW perfection

Just a stunning spot. The place looks like the images online but better ;) with views that go on forever. Everything was in wonderful condition. We were comfortable and all four members of our group raved about the cottage. I wish we had stayed longer and cannot more highly recommend it! Hope to be back!

Postcard Pretty

The house was clean, organized, and charmingly decorated. The kitchen was so well stocked and was a joy in which to work. But the setting was the true star. The house is so private and is on a hill so the view was so elegant and we loved hearing the donkeys and goats in the morning. We cannot wait to stay in Southfield Cottage again.

What you see is what you get

No fish eye lens. Everything was as you see in in photos. We absolutely loved our time at Southfield Cottage. Communications were particularly good. I didn't have to stress about receiving replies to my inquiries. Response times were amazingly quick. I hope to return to this property.

Great house in the country

This little property is very special. It’s very quiet and peaceful. However, be prepared for people working in the vineyard that surrounds the house starting early in the morning. It’s too bad that they don’t have separate zones for heating because one area of the house might get quite warm while the bathrooms are chilly.. I would also get toilet paper holders on the wall much easier than what they have now. But it’s a special place. It’s just very very quiet if you don’t like quiet don’t go there..

A Peaceful Break

The house itself is relatively simple with two bedrooms and two ample bathrooms. The kitchen is large and well appointed with excellent appliances. We only used the cooktop, but there is an oven and all of the tools needed. Probably the most pleasant feature of the home is the tranquil setting and the excellent porches at the front and back of the home. We spent every evening sitting on the porch; enjoying the peaceful evening light. We will definitely return. Thanks!

Perfect for two couples on a weekend getaway

We had high expectations coming into our 4 day long weekend visit. When I sent the listing (w/pics) to the two spouses for evaluation, the replies were immediate and empathetic: YES!! If anything, it's better than the pictures. Love that each side is identical--no one gets the lesser room.Each bedroom was roomy and comfortable, with a full bath. The kitchen is gorgeous and functional, the living area nicely appointed. Then you step outside..pictures don't do it justice. A million dollar view. At night you can hear every sound in the whole valley. It's eerie. We've been in many VRBO that you could say that they've thought of everything, but here it's all done with a lot of careful thought and style. Very impressive. Booking and follow-up contact was relentlessly efficient. The printed and digital guides they give are the best we've ever seen. Hope to return someday soon....

Wine tasting in Willamette

Excellent lodging for Willamette wine tasting adventure. Very close to wineries and restaurants. Perfect for two couples. Everything you need is supplied at the residence. Very comfortable. We have stayed here three times and will be back!

Special home with incredible views

It is truly special home and property. Be sure to ask the property manager about the spraying of the vines to be sure you are not home when that is taking place. We truly enjoyed our stay there.
