“We had a wonderful stay at the Essex Street Inn. We loved the cleanliness of the Inn. The Continental breakfast was just what we needed. Good selection of breakfast choices. Hope the Inn never changes the breakfast choices. Will go back.”

“This property was so lovely and quaint! We are so glad we chose it over a chain hotel! Easy check in/ check out and enjoyable sitting spaces inside the cozy parlor and outside on porch or overlooking part of the downtown! We’d definitely come back- absolutely loved beautiful Rockport!”

“We enjoyed our two night stay immensely. How could we not, with a lovely view of Good Harbor Beach and a seven minute walk to get there. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and welcoming. The property is clean, attractive and well maintained and the Continental Breakfast was well-stocked and appreciated. The ONLY downsides: the water, which took several minutes to get hot (which they made us aware of at check-in) and the shower which was a bit crowded with the soap dispensers on the wall. And……

“Pros - Great location to anything in the area. Staff was very good and the nice lady named Anna was the best time having breakfast. Cons - The room as soon as we walked in. The the smell that hit our nose was like no one has stayed in that room in a while. There was a area rug by the bed that has seen it's last days and needs to be replaced as soon as possible. Say the same thing for the mattress, hard sleeping on it. The room was small and the bathroom was the smallest one we ever stayed at……

“Beautiful castle building, free coffee at the reception, staff are very friendly and helpful. They even offered me a ride to the train station when the next train was coming within half an hour. Overall it’s a very pleasant stay. ”

“We started out with problems from the online check in. They said we were in #9 but in was occupied, so they set us up in #6, then the code wasn’t working to get in. After that things were good, till we left and checked out at 830 then in a couple hours later they said we didn’t check out. There systems needs some work. Great location”

“The rooms are fresh and spotlessly clean. Great views of the Annisquam River. Nice location outside of town. The staff was fantastic. We love the marina vibe. We stayed in January when the restaurant is only open a couple of days a week - we'll hit that up next time. We dined nearby at The Causeway - great local spot, small and BYOB.”

“Hotel was literally brand new and I loved how good everything smelled - new and clean. Staff was wonderful. Only issue was towels and sheets were so new that all the fuzzies came off on us. They need to be washed a bit more but smelled clean so we’ll take it! Parking is near a dispensary so that was not too great either…..but the hotel, worth ever penny!”
