“A true gem of a hotel in York. Easily walkable to centre. Hotel and rooms spotlessly clean. Tasty, hot breakfast with plenty choice. Comfortable rooms but a little too hot. Good parking area at rear of hotel. Staff very pleasant and could not be more helpful. Special shout out to Gemma and Stuart who were both excellent. Would definitely stay here again. 5 stars all round. ”

“酒店很有特色，穿过酒店的bar到达lodge所在的小庭院。庭院还可以通到二楼露台及室内早餐所在的餐厅。 房间内暖气打开很快暖和起来，卫生间和淋雨分开，单独地暖。房间大小适中，展开一个大箱子比还不影响正常活动。 早餐很好，稍微有点慢，可能因为我们习惯了着急。”

“Nice friendly welcome from the gentleman working the bar on arrival Thursday 23rd October around 2pm, booked in and explained about breakfast, evening meals, on-site parking and what was happening at the pub over coming days. Shown to our room which was nice and bright, very clean and comfortable. The building dates from the 1700s so expect uneven floors and squeaky floor boards and lots of character in a nice way and things that catch your eye. Beautifully dressed for Halloween.
