“Wingrove House is a welcoming small hotel in the heart of the historic village of Alfriston, just off the South Downs Way. It has been sympathetically restored to make it a comfortable, modern hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spotless. There is a comfortable lounge and I enjoyed sitting there with a book in the evening. Breakfast was also delicious and the restaurante service was great.”

Loosen your belt for the full Tiger breakfast! Staff so helpful, courteous and …. well just happy to make your stay as memorable as possible… Location superb, from the immediate tables on the village green to everything local for fine sightseeing and walks etc… This is a conundrum… we don’t want to shout……

“Absolutely amazing location, fabulous, reliable, transport links. Some beautiful areas within walking distance of the accommodation and the staff were just simply amazing. From the housekeeping to the management, nothing was ever too much trouble, even though they were extremely busy due to the location and it being the centre of the village, they still made a point of seeking you out, asking about your day and chatting as much as their schedules would allow. “Lovely staff - so thoughtful and accommodating! I arrived early, coming immediately from a very long & tiring international flight. I was able to check in prior to the normal check in time and have a nice rest that afternoon. I was so grateful for that kind accommodation. I have some food, allergies and they were able to work within those restrictions, and provide delicious fresh flavorful meals. This is a small establishment and they provide very personalized thoughtful service. There……

“The hotel looks very new. Not sure if it’s a new built/ newly refurbished. It’s very modern and the staff there (Brighton) was wonderful and very welcoming during check in & out, luggage storage etc. Such a convenient location as it’s more or less 5 mins walk from the train station. About 15mins walk down to the seaside which is close enough. The room is clean and all essentials kitchenware included if you want to cook during your stay. We didn’t cook as there’s too much great food temptation……
