“On the hottest day of the summer the long walk up Steep Hill seemed never ending. It was worth it when we reached this hotel. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The communal areas were inviting and beautifully decorated. The stairs and corridors to the room were like a rabbit warren but spotless and classically decorated. The room was stunning, it looked so inviting. Beautiful bedding, lush carpet, thick blackout curtains, a couple of chairs, a side table and drink making……

“Direction by the hosts was spot on! Upon arrival we were a little early but as our room was ready they let us check in straight away. Staff were all super friendly and even offered to bring our bags in. Full guide or room was given. The room was beautiful and facilities were excellent including a mini fridge, milk (and oat milk for hubby), bottled water, handmade herbal tea selection, even umbrellas in the wardrobe incase it was wet! Breakfast was fabulous and really tasty, so much choice and……

“ It seems that the staff are not used to greet guests good morning and the like. Also ,the restaurant is under renovation until end March, so reduced breakfast has to be served inside room. The environment outside the hotel is good,though, with many restaurants nearby.”

“This is my second stay at this hotel, and hopefully not the last! The rooms were spotless, facilities are great, top spec bathroom etc etc. The staff are friendly and informative, and to top it all you get breakfast included! “Difficult to find and very problematic checking in. Digital check in never opened for me. The only way I was able to get into my room was that I was let in by a management person. I didn’t leave for dinner because I was afraid I’d be locked out. I wanted to drop my luggage around noon so I could see the sites without suitcase in tow but since there is no on site staff and no check in until 4 that was not possible. Please come up with a solution for travelers who need to store luggage. ”
