Enjoyable stay

Very impressed with property and location. Combo for door lock pad didn't appear to work correctly. Didn't impact us negatively as there was another option to gain entrance. Would stay again!!

We had a great time. This property is in a awesome location with an absolutely gorgeous view. We had 5 people staying so had to use the pull out sofa couch. It was a little uncomfortable, however the location and view made up for it. We would definitely stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay! We would come back in an instant. The house is a cozy and quirky beach house. It could use a deep cleaning, but it was neat and today when we arrived and in good shape. The house is well stocked and you cannot beat the location.

Such a fun place!!

Cute little quirky house right on the water! The views were amazing! You can see the lighthouse from the front room. The only thing that was disappointing was the access to the beach was a bit of a walk, but this is definitely a place we would stay again!! Loved it!! Also parking is in the back.. it was a little confusing but we figured it out!

quirky house with a great view

Pros The house is old and quirky but the owners have done a great job of using space and making it an enjoyable place to stay at. The view is the absolute best, can't get much better. The kitchen is well stocked, and beds are comfortable. We stayed warm an cozy. Cons I didn't realize that Nye beach has a cliff between the beach and all the houses. You have to walk or drive into town to access the beach. I wouldn't put two adults in the first bedroom because the bed has to be pushed up to the wall so that you have a small walk space on one side.

Old and Well Used

Property is in a great location, we were looking for more for the rates charged. It’s an old cabin that been added onto a number of times. The front is a great room with living dining and kitchen. It’s ok but furniture is old, opened the fridge and it smelled like something had died in there. Main bedroom very small with only a tiny closet to put your clothes. One bathroom, no lock on either door accessing it and it’s really small. Corner shower so small you can barely turn around. Have to walk through the bathroom to get to second bedroom, bed is jammed against the wall to fit, and then to laundry and out the back door. Maybe fine for a couple but wouldn’t work for 4 people. Outside they have two old folding chairs, no table and no grill.

Family vacation

The protest was great for a family of 4. Easy access and great location, view from the front window too. We had an issue accessing the property as scheduled due to a delay in cleaning but after some communication, Vacasa was helpful in resolving.

Great Get away!!

We loved our get away, no sun though but it was cool. I wrote the dates wrong so did not stay through Sat… I have some balance issues so had to go slow coming in the back door. I did not attempt the front steps … bc of the weather we did not walk the beach but really enjoyed the coziness of the home and all the light house decor very cute. Thanks! Anne

Beautiful location on Nye Beach

Quaint little cottage with a view of the ocean. We saw whales spouting in the distance. There is a nice view of the lighthouse from the deck. Cottage could use some upgrades. There are cracks in the plaster board and evidence of spiders - cobwebs. The layout is odd - you have to walk through the bedroom and bathroom to get to the kitchen and living room - but we managed. The linens are worn - could be replaced. It was helpful to have the washer and dryer on premises. Lastly - there were elaborate instructions about recycling and composting but only a trash receptacle. Nice spot - could use a major refresh.

Great view and neighborhood

We stayed here with our two kids (ages 8 and 2) and it was fun. We made dinner and played Monopoly at night, and drank coffee in the morning and looked at the ocean. The only thing that could be improved was adding a dish drying rack. There wasn’t a dish washer or rack so we had to use towels all over the counter. Other than, it was a great spot to spend a few days in Newport as it’s really close to Nye Beach but peaceful.
