“Everything about my stay was excellent;.e.g., room, service, meals, bar, garden and patio, location - natural beauty, easy costal walks. They had some young staff learning their trade in the restaurant - good to see.”

“Evening meal a bit like faulty towers; eg, waiter knocked drink over & expected us to pay for replacement, (no, we didn’t). Large, dark stains on all carpets. Breakfast was a fiasco; had to request many essentials, eg teaspoon, tea pot, milk, tea bags, etc. The bar ran out of beer/lager every night. I could go on, but not enough space or time. Essentially I believe many faults were down to staff shortages.”

“The staff were fantastic, so helpful & polite, though over the phone they said i'd be 1st room on 1st floor as i come out of lift as i'm disabled, but i was 18 doors from lift, the window rattled all night so we didn't get any sleep, but the hotel is in a good spot. Lovely & clean, close to sea life & other places ”

“We had an amazing stay here and would definitely recommend! We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade on our room and it was beautifully decorated. They were friendly at check in and took us to our room, leaving us some shortbread biscuits. Breakfast in the Grain store was amazing, we also had dinner there.”

“Great location in wells, ample parking outside the pub. Excellent and helpful staff. Clean and cool room (great air conditioning in this weather).. There was a pub quiz in the evening, great food, and the breakfast was wholesome and hearty’ The only issue was the smell from the bathroom (likely the sewage).”

“We were so pleased to finally stay at the Windmill we’d first seen on Villages by the Sea and again from the North Norfolk Railway. It’s a remarkable building, and you can really appreciate how much care and investment must go into maintaining it. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were very well looked after at breakfast each morning. “The breakfasts were good, although they weren't included, but it was hard to get an evening meal. The room I stayed in was near the road and boiler/ air conditioning so it was very noisy so I slept very badly. The fire alarm went off early in the morning and we didn't get any information from the staff so didn't know if it was safe to return to our rooms. Although geographically it worked well I wouldn't stay there again.”
