“The room ( junior suite ) was cold as the radiators were not working when we arrived. Reception was informed at about 4,00 pm but nothing improved until several houirs later. Two electric heaters were put in the room and the radiators eventually came on. The 'fault', we weere told, was the room thermostst which was located outside in the hallway (???) and somebody had turned it off. Shame that the management didn't check the room thoroughly prior to our arrival. Otherwise, great room,……

“A lovely welcome and the right place to stay if you want to explore nearby or go into Scarborough. Great food and lovely staff, we are going to return over the summer for sure.”

“The Grand Hotel is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The room (a triple / family room) was clean and convenient. The fans in the room (in the midst of a heatwave) and the water dispenser in reception were great touches. We were initially impressed with the proactive communication prior to our visit. However, the code we were given (twice) for the NCP wouldn't work on arrival and we were told by NCP it had expired in March 2026. On raising this with Barbara at reception, we received a shrug……

“The hotel was perfect location for open air theatre 15 min stroll down the hill. Lovely decor in the hotel very clean and fresh looks like it’s had a recent refurbishment. Breakfast nearly perfect just a small recommendation to chef - just cook the sausages a little longer for that golden brown all over. Our only issue was the room was way too small felt a little cramped everywhere and I’m a big chap , felt a bit like a broom cupboard at the top of the hotel. Maybe next time we can be offered a……

“Beautiful location, very close to all the main attractions, all within a 3–15 minute walk, including North Bay Beach, Peasholm Park, the Open Air Theatre, SEA LIFE, and the water park.
