Wonderful place to stay. Restaurant staff couldn't have been more helpful with managing allergies and dietary requirements. Lovely food. Really calm and pleasant break.
The staff were excellent. They were really friendly and helpful and did the hotel proud. The hotel is in a nice setting and location. The bar and breakfast were good. It was lovely to meet Clyde the hotel cat as well.
The room was nice but unfortunately no a/c or fan which was desperately needed in the current condition. We asked for a fan but didn’t get one. The shower is ridiculous boiling hot one minute freezing cold the next & the noise it made was horrendous! Beds ok but not as comfortable as Premier Inn beds. Lovely location if you have a car & the breakfast was good.
Would i choose to stay here again, probably not!
We always stay here when visiting elderly relative; staff are attentive and professional, the beds are comfortable, the pool and jacuzzi are great and the food is always good.
The breakfast was great on the whole, although I would’ve liked a wider array of cheeses on offer and cold cuts of meat. It was really pet friendly and I brought my cavapoo so thank you. The staff were so kind and helpful, especially the sales manager and the front reception staff. They were very keen to help. I was really impressed with the location and the grounds which was ideal for doggies and the vintage heritage railway station and classic trains just round the corner at was a wonderful surprising bonus.

Nice and pleasant!
Nice pleasant stay with great staff. The amenities are a bit tired but the setting and people make up for it.
We had a lovely 2 night stay. The food was excellent with a nice choice on the menu. The breakfast was buffet style with so much to choose from. There is also a coffee machine with tea bags etc by the terrace. The room was adequate. We both found the bed and pillows comfortable. The bathroom was nice, although the sink needed some bleach or something to get rid of the mouldy smell. Accommodation overall was good, although I definitely wouldn't call it a 'superior' double, just double would be more accurate. The pool, hot tub and sauna were nice. The lockers in the changing rooms- male and female didn't seem to work. When I was trying to lock my clothes away a lady said she has never found one that works. The outside of the hotel did need a little tlc. There were weeds everywhere. The main thing that I think needed to be clear on the website is that you don't stay in the sedgebrook hall. The only part of the hall you enter is the reception. I thought this was misleading on the website. We did have a nice couple of days rest though. And the staff were all lovely.
Had a great meal in the bar area.
The staff were very friendly.
The room looked as though it had been recently renovated.
It was comfortable and clean.
Would highly recommend and also stay there again.
Was very disappointed with this hotel.
The majority of staff are very young and clearly have no idea of customer service, although the reception staff were very good.
We decided to have breakfast and having paid £33.00 for the privilege, I would have thought there would have been plenty of choice. They had no fried or scrambled eggs and when I asked for some I was told by the scruffiest person I had ever met working in a restaurant that service was nearly over, (it was only 9:30) so there may not be any more eggs. There was eggs and it was more of a case that he wanted to stand around and chat with the other youngsters in the restaurant. If you do stay here, avoid the breakfast, it’s very poor value.
The room depressing and had an unpleasant smell.

There was a slight confusion with the room allocation, which the reception staff on Friday evening rectified with consideration and courtesy. The room was prepared to a very high standard. Our stay was for two night's (bed/breakfast). The buffet style breakfast was to a very high standard, fresh and hot.
All the hotel staff were courteous, polite and deticated to delivering a perfect customer experience.
Would recommend this hotel very highly.
