The stay provided a really welcome break.
The hosts met us to check in and were really warm and welcoming. We were shown around the property and assured to contact them if we needed anything. We didn't as the accommodation had everything that we needed.
I was slightly concerned that the room may have been cold given the time of year, but it was really warm and cosy and well furnished. The shower was also powerful and hot. I would definitely recommend for a short break.
A phenomenal converted facility wirh a big history. Owners are great and the facilities were spot on. Very comfortable and had a really great stay. Local amenities were perrfect.
The accommodation was very well appointed and comfortable. Our room was in a courtyard annex, was very peaceful and had the use of a fully equipped kitchen as well as tea and coffee facilities in our room.
Patricia & Geoff were fantastic hosts and took excellent care of us during our last minute booking. We especially enjoyed getting cuddles from their gorgeous pets. Very helpful to have use of the kitchen. We will definitely be back for another visit.
OK, I usually don’t do reviews of hotels I stay in as I’m in so many with my work that it can be time consuming to review every one.
However there are the odd one or two that I do review for differing reasons, this being one of them and it warrants a review.
The place is awesome, with a kitchen between rooms so you can make your own meals if you wish.
The owners came out to greet us as we arrived and already knew our names (I was travelling with my work colleague who was in a different room)
The only drawback I had was that there wasn’t a fan in my room and it was extremely hot that night.
Other than that I’d thoroughly recommend the Old Vicarage to anyone going towards Silverstone racetrack or the surrounding area and I’ll be back if my work takes me there.
A very lovely stay. Loved the different pets that they had also, added an extra touch to the stay that made it very unique.
My son and I liked the comfortable accommodation and pleasant surroundings.
Had a great stay at the Old Vicarage. We needed somewhere close to Silverstone Circuit, ideally with separate rooms for myself and my daughter. Would very happily stay here again. Great welcome on arrival, helpful advice about dinner options in the local area, no issues at all.
Lovely large room, comfy bed & en-suite bathroom, together with kitchen facilities on hand! What's not to like?
Patricia was a lovely welcoming hostess.
We had a wonderful stay , they met us took us to our room. They were very informative regarding directions as we were there for F1. Breakfast was amazing, location was beautiful.
Will definitely go back.
This property was absolutely stunning! While we only stayed 1 night we wished we could’ve extended our stay. The room was clean and beautiful with a large bathroom. They have bunnies and guinea pigs as well as 2 very sweet dogs. The owners were kind and helpful, we asked for dinner recommendations and they suggested a great place a mile down the road. If we ever return to the area we will definitely be staying here again.
What a lovely little find. 5 mins off the M1, but set in the grounds of an old vicarage and very quiet and tranquil.
Lovely welcome from the owners, shown my room which was lovely and spotless. Shared kitchen area had everything, cooker, fridge, coffee machine… basically everything you need.
You can use the garden area which had seating and tables which was lovely just to listen to the peace and quiet in the sunshine.
Highly recommend this place for a quick stop off like myself, or a base to explore the local region. Very peaceful and quiet, set in the countryside.
It’s was 10/10 perfect, just one small thing from my wife that was a bit cold, but from my side was good and one more minus that was no tv in the room.
Lovely room, spacious and well planned accommodation. Ground’s very attractive.
Only negative was the fact that there was no TVs in the facility. Probably not a factor for lots of people.Should be highlighted on the booking site.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Cleanliness
I booked this stay as I needed a stop to work and rest on my way home, and was hoping for a nice, quiet, relaxing stay in this idilic setting based on the photos and the location.
I am very disappointed though, and I am giving 4 stars generously as I understand the owners are facing some personal issues, but I have to share that the cleanliness was very poor, especially the bathroom. There was dark short hair everywhere, the bathtub was grubby that I did not feel safe to shower in, and the sink pedestal, the sink, the wc, were really dirty. Also, the area all around outside seemed a bit neglected.
And on top of this, in the evening, there was a chimney or a camp fire on the property and the smoke entered my room, I could not sleep and felt I was suffocating - the window was an old style one with a lot of spacing and despite me proping pillows in it, the smoke came in...
It was not a pleasant experience, and I left more tired than I arrived.
If you prefer to stay in a place where the owners and staff remember your name and really care that your visit is enjoyable then choose The Old Vicarage
Excellent breakfast and country pub with food a ten minute walk through pleasant vilksge
