It was a good stay for the price. It’s an old property and you can tell. The AC did not work in my first room, but they changed our room without hesitating. Location was nice, near the beach and walkable restaurant and shops area. Staff were really nice!

There were long term tenants staying and it made it seem as if I had an apartment with bad neighbors. Personal belongings scattered about, and people hanging around outside all day and into the night.

The room may be outdated, but their location is in very convenient area which is right next to the beach and shopping plaza! Their balcony view was very nice as well. Staff is very nice and i was very happy with our stay

I’ve stayed at this hotel before because it is convenient to the Oakland airport. It’s nothing fancy, but it is satisfactory. The only drawback I would say is that the staff at the front desk are far from friendly. I don’t often feel that I am inconveniencing them. Regardless, I do recommend it because it’s affordable and convenient.

While the room was a little run down and dated. It was clean and did not have any pests that I could see. The shower had great water pressure but if you are taller (I am 5’10’’) that shower head is a little low. The breakfast provided in the morning is a little limited with only dairy yogurt, variety of prepackaged pastries, and bread to make toast. They did offer coffee, two kinds of tea, and orange juice. As for location there was a Safeway and trader Joe’s right down the street. As well as other shopping near by.

The property needs updating. Don’t expect any sort of breakfast just some toast and cereal basically. It is clean and centrally located for the Bay Area if wanting to stay somewhere affordable and close to Oakland and SF. If it would be remodeled and the breakfast expanded it would be a 5 but it’s a 3 at best

Location, location, location! It's always so quiet and beautiful on our deck next to the estuary. We walk to everything! 2 minutes to Alameda Beach. 6 minutes to Starbucks. 7 minutes to Trader Joe's. 15 minutes to the Park Street shopping and restaurant district that's over 100 years old. We love the vintage details in this 1960s hotel. If you want a shiny new hotel room this is not the place for you.

Gute Lage, Nachttischlampen funktionierten nicht, Frühstück sehr spärlich. Schlüsselkarten funktionierten am zweiten Tag nicht mehr und Rezeption war nicht besetzt. Mussten 20 Minuten warten bis wieder jemand an der Rezeption erschien. Allgemein schmuddeliger Eindruck.

Honestly the room was unexpectedly very spacious than the picture. I would say it is convenient that you have somewhere to stay at. Even if it’s just for the night too. If you like fancy this place isn't for you. In my opinion it is worth staying there. The car situation was easy too. Just make sure to lock your doors including the hotel door too. Block it with a chair you never know. Overall everything was good. Nothing bad. We just stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights just for Big Bang which also includes going to sf and sj. So again it’s worth it. It’s not fancy but it isn’t bad either.

Pretty good place, there were some loud people there when I went but its a 30 second walk from the beach and the people couldn't be heard inside the room. Everything was clean, staff was nice, easy parking. The furniture inside the room looks like it's vintage but it functions. The back patio has a nice visual of a pond or inlet or something. Would definitely stay here again.

Positives: The hotel is in a great location, directly across from a large shopping center with several restaurants and grocery stores. It also has a nice pool and offers a decent continental breakfast. Price was good compared to others in the area, and hotel staff was nice. Negatives: The rooms are very large but extremely dated, with old worn-out furniture throughout. The window courtains had stains. The bathroom featured a pink bathtub and worn, stained linoleum flooring. We did not use the kitchenette because the appliances looked like they came straight out of a 1960s movie, and not in a charming way. The hallway carpets are also very worn. It's good for a weekend stay, if you only need a clean bed to rest.
