Featured on HGTV's - Beach Front Bargain Hunt (episode 1108)! Sandwitches Cottage is a classic Carolina style beach cottage featuring 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Each side of the cottage has a Queen bedroom and a Kids bedroom... complete with twin bunk beds and a full size bed. A Jack-and-Jill bathroom connects both bedrooms on either side of the house. All 4 bedrooms have wall mounted, flat screen TV's. TWO luggage racks are conveniently located in EACH of the 4 bedrooms (1 in each closet and one next to bed).

The center of the cottage features an open concept living, dining, and kitchen area. Modern updates include stainless steel appliances, sea glass inspired backsplash and beautiful white quartz counter tops. A nautical chandelier and dual motor vintage ceiling fan adds to the charm of this classic beach cottage.

A large front deck, with ocean views and comfortable seating is a great place for families and friends to relax and unwind. Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail while gazing at the tranquil sea from a porch rocker. A front "pebbled" parking area provides ample parking along with additional relaxation space under and behind the home - perfect for grilling and enjoying the outdoors. You will find a picnic/game table (tic-tac-toe & checker board top!), corner bench seat with table, and built in tiki-bar counter with stools. A hand painted shuffleboard and hopscotch area along with corn-hole game provides hours of family fun! Adirondack chairs and 2 large hammocks encourage relaxation as you take in the salt air and ocean breezes. A large, enclosed outdoor shower (hot & cold water) is perfect for rinsing off the sand from a long, lazy day at the beach. Plenty of boat cleats and hooks to hang towels and bathing suits. The beach access is conveniently located just a few houses down on Shelby Street...a short 2 minute stroll! Close enough to the cottage for lunch and bathroom breaks!

Amazing location, just 2 blocks from the pier and center of town! Leave the cars in the driveway and conveniently walk to restaurants, ice cream shops, beach shops, and a fun family game of putt-putt. Walk on over to the all new and amazing Town Center Park (complete with outdoor performance stage, playground, interactive water pad/fountain, restroom facility, pergola gathering areas, promenade (walking trail), open green space, bocce ball court, half basketball/pickleball court)! Everything that OIB has to offer is in close proximity to our family beach cottage.

Sandwitches' Cottage is a magical place that is sure to provide many wonderful memories of Summers spent with family and friends at the beach.

*Please note that Bed Linens for the 2 Queen beds & 2 Full Size Beds are provided by a local linen service. These items will be delivered to the cottage on the day of your arrival and picked-up on the morning of your scheduled departure. *You are welcome to use our cottage bunk-bed sheet sets as long as you agree to wash and dry them before you leave.

*Please note that bath towels, bath mats and beach towels are NOT provided. There are several local linen service agencies in the area for you to order these items online and have everything delivered on the day of your arrival.

*This house has a keyless entry system.

*This is a Non-Smoking property.

*Pets are NOT allowed.

*Reservation holder MUST be present throughout the entire stay and may NOT leave the designated reservation period early to allow other occupants to finish out the remainder of the reservation.

*Our beach home is not to be used as an “overflow” home for another larger property that is hosting a party, reunion, wedding, or any other large gathering/event. Accommodations and parking is strictly for the guests listed on the online reservation.

*Note, there are exterior cameras at the front and rear entrances to the home. They are strictly used for security purposes at entryways and driveway as well as for any damage surveillance while home is unoccupied. There are no cameras in the interior of the home.

Family fun

Great location - able to walk and/or bike to sunset slush, mini golf and restaurants. 3 min walk to the beach w easy access. Under the porch fun activities for all. Shuffle board, connect four and more. This was our second time at this home and we highly recommend staying here.

Perfect House for a Family Vacation

Sandwitches' Cottage is a perfect house for a family vacation. The house is clean and the kitchen is fully stocked. The owner's are wonderful with communication and allow you to have access to beach items. The carport is a phenomenal place for entertainment as it is full of games, outdoor seating, and hammocks. The private outdoor shower is a delightful bonus. We are excited to return in following years.

Second great stay!

I just love this cozy cottage! It is perfect for our families (two 4-person families). While many cottages are being sold and mega-houses built in their place, I appreciate this smaller, charming spot that is the perfect size (and price point) for a smaller group. Thank you and looking forward to planning our next trip!

Perfect house

The home was perfect for our weekend getaway for my Nephews wedding. The house has everything you’ll need. Super kid friendly. The gates to the porches was amazing to keep the 2 and 5 year old from the stairs! Perfect walk to the beach! We had an amazing time there!

Fun place to stay and great location.

While there were only three of us for some family fishing we really enjoyed this cottage!! Beds were comfortable, house was very clean, and beautifully decorated in beach theme. While we have stayed at several homes on OIB, I have never had one that was as well stocked as this kitchen was. I fell in love with this house and hope I can stay there again soon. We did not use the downstairs game area, it would be great for a family with several kids.

Such a cute house!

We loved our stay at Sandwitches' Cottage! The house is decorated so cute. If we had a beach house, it would look like this. My girls loved sleeping in the bunk beds in the green room! We loved the close beach access. The space under the house is also super cute and so fun - perfect for little kids and big kids, too;). I had a couple of questions for the owners and they were so easy to work with and quick to respond. We will definitely try to stay here on our next trip to OIB!

A perfectly adorable cozy CLEAN beach cottage

This cottage is so cute and clean!!! We stayed here with our kids, our friends and our friends kids, so there were 4 adults and 4 kids and although it was cozy, we all had plenty of room. The amazing outdoor area was like another living space and the kids hung out there most of the time when we weren't at the beach. The decor and overall look of the place was just so perfect! We loved staying here. The only thing that we didn't like was that the beach access was about 5 houses down, so we had to lug our stuff there, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. I highly recommend Sandwitches Cottage!

Family Fall Getaway

Everything was pretty much as seen online. Great house and location. Participated in half marathon that weekend and race even went past our rental. Great stay! Only negative was the Jack & Jill bathrooms which can be quite “awkward “ when you have adult couples sharing the same bathroom. We found that multiple homes on the Island were build with that concept. Could use a toilet outside by the shower. Overall it was a Memorable time with family in sun,sand and sea!

Great house!

Loved the house and location. Great set up in each room & plenty of storage space! The only feedback from all of us that stayed is that the various door codes were a lot to keep up with and the front door was a little finicky when we made our personalized code. And to make the back porch safer/kid friendly, some screens or railing should be installed as a small child could easily fall through the open space. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay.

Absolutely Perfect!

Our family had a sudden change in plans - reserved this home very last minute and the owners could not have been more accommodating to our needs. I appreciate the attention to detail (books by the bed, games/puzzles, beach chairs, etc.) that went into the newly renovated space. Well-stocked kitchen and open pantry for storage. We spent most of our time outside playing shuffleboard, darts, cornhole, tic tac toe, checkers - ALL provided by the owners. We will definitely be back!

A housekeeper that obviously needs another line of work

The week at the house was fine the problem started when we returned home and were told they were not returning some of the damage deposit. There was some sand in a tub and the housekeeper said she had to spend extra time getting Drano. We only used 2 of the 4 bedrooms, never cooked a meal there- we had other family nearby in a larger house with a big kitchen for family meals. Never used the oven, pots and pans. But the housekeeper said the Drano took extra time. She also seems to spend a lot of time on her phone texting to the homeowners in New York about the job she is hired to do. If she didn’t want to clean houses then maybe she is in the wrong line of work. The owners- in New York- take the side of the housekeeper and charged for some sand at the beach. There are also a lot of personal items at the house and it makes it hard to find a clear area to put things. I moved some items so the the young boys with us wouldn’t bother them or break them and the housekeeper reported that we had “redecorated”. It was to protect the items from any mishap. I tried to put everything back in it’s place. The house is over stuffed with trinkets and signs but we were fine with all that until the owner started itemizing things the housekeeper had to do that they considered extra- not ever giving any thought to the areas of the house that were unused and untouched. The sand in the tub came from a previously clogged drain that didn’t drain well after one shower- it was never used again.

Wonderful Home

We loved our stay. The beach was so close and the home was comfortable and very clean. We had trouble turning on the AC and the owner contacted us in minutes with the (very simple) solution. The hosts were excellent and so was the home.
