Great for a big group

Our group enjoyed staying here for a week. The location is great. The size of the space is also really nice, especially having two living areas and the whole house to yourself. The only negative is that the water pressure in the showers wasn’t great.

Great location

This would be a 5 star review, except that the clothes drier was very weak, and the dish washer did not work properly (the latch releasing the soap pod did not open). But the location is exceptional, and we could hear the ocean waves from the master bedroom at night.

Great location. Walkable to most places. Place needs some TLC. Screens with holes, missing glassware, A lot of fine reminders if you do not do this and that. All in all had a great time there.

Awesome home

We had a party of 11 people ranging from 17 to 75 and the house was great. They do have ants (they provide ant spray) so the one downside was us leaving a cake on the kitchen counter overnight. We woke up to an ant covered cake. Lesson learned, don’t leave food open on the counter. But don’t let that deter you. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure was great and the location is second to none. I would not hesitate to stay at this house again in the future.

Annual Family Vacation

This was a perfect place for our family of 10: 7 adults and 3 kids with plenty of room to spread out! The kitchen was well stocked with plates/bowls/cups, as well as, small appliances. Each bathroom had plenty of towels/toilet paper and shampoo/soap items. The only thing that was missing was laundry detergent and we were told they don't supply due to guest allergies. So bring detergent if you're planning to do laundry. The ocean view was magnificent and we loved opening up all the windows to hear the crashing of waves that was music to our ears. It was a close walk to the pier and downtown area. We rented surreys by the pier and had a blast riding up and down The Strand. It was a very easy check in/check out process. The management was very quick to respond to questions/needs that we had before and during our stay. We would highly recommend this place!

Subpar at best

We have an annual tradition to spend a week in Oceanside and have stayed in some amazing properties and this one breaks the streak. I'd rate 1 star overall. Half a star for the proximity to the beach and another half for convenient parking. For the amount of money paid and the interior to be in such shambles is kind of robbery. The inside had paint chipping in several rooms, ants everywhere including the kitchen, bathrooms, and a few of the beds. Refrigerator barely stayed cold. The water pressure is just awful. The last part is the extremely dirty window screens. Whoever is supposed to be checking up on this property hasn't been inside for at least 5 years. Not satisfied at all and 100% not coming back.

Amazing Location

This is an amazing home to be able to stay in! We loved sitting on the huge deck and watching the waves come in every night. This location is so nice for big groups or families to have enough space to gather, but also provides privacy with plenty of bedrooms. We will be back!

Location/view was amazing! Had issue with water heater, but we called - it was looked at immediately and fixed the very next day when parts were obtained. I would definitely stay there again!

Amazing

We had an amazing vacation in the Sunset On The Strand house. It is beautiful and spacious. The kitchen is great to cook in and everything is decorated perfectly for a beach vacation. The best part is sitting on the balcony and watching the waves roll in, you can't beat the view and the closeness to the beach. You can even hear the waves from the bedrooms so you can fall asleep to the sound of the Ocean.

Perfect for Large Families

This house was ideal for a family reunion. There are two separate living rooms. One for the kids downstairs and one for the adults upstairs. The kitchen is nice and big. The balcony is perfect for relaxing and watching the waves. Loved it!

Excellent Stay

What a unique and fun property! We spent several hours just sitting on the balcony watching the waves. You really can't beat the view! We also loved how large the house was! You have so much space for cooking and dining and plenty of room for multiple groups to hang out with the two separate living areas. On The Sand made the rental process so easy and we felt well cared for during our stay :) Occasionally the city would have to close the road the house is on for maintenance and cleaning up after the waves but they were usually very quick about it and we didn't have to wait long or they were nice and allowed us as residents to access the home going the other way. A minor inconvenience but really didn't take away from our stay at all and the location is worth it!
