The house and location were both excellent. The reason I only gave it 3 stars overall is because we were deeply disappointed with the rental company and the lack of customer service. For starters, I was told over the phone that someone from the rental company would meet me the day we checked in to go over how to use things in the house. No one showed up and when I called to ask why they said they did not have me setup to have a meet & greet. I was never told that I had to set it up. I thought it was already set because I was told over the phone that someone would meet us there on check-in day. On the morning of arrival, they had texted me asking when we would check-in (which I confirmed would be at 4pm), so I assumed someone was coming out to meet us. What was even more disappointing was that on our very first day, we let the rental company know that the fireplace was not working nor was the water dispenser. We were told that the fireplace would not be able to be fixed until that Thurs which was our check-out day so we never got to use it. The water dispenser on the fridge did not work which we let them know on our check-in day as well. We were first told that they would bring us a Britta. That never happened. We were then told the next day that they don't have a Britta so we asked if they could at least deliver us some bottled water and they said they don't deliver. It seemed like something that could have been easily resolved by just having one of their staff run to Target to buy a Britta or go to the grocery to purchase some water. Nothing was done. We were told that the water dispenser would need to be unplugged and then the work would have to be done after 10 hrs. We were told this on Tues night which means the fridge would be unusable that Wed which means it would not have even been worked on until Thurs which again, was our check-out date. Finally, we needed a battery for the remote for the ceiling fan. Someone from the rental company came out and said that we needed batteries that were not AAA and that he would be back with the correct type of battery. He did not come back that day. Instead, batteries were dropped off at the front door the next day and they were AAA (the wrong battery) so we could not use the remote. Considering the cost of renting this house, we expected a higher level of customer service. Unfortunately, due to this experience we do not plan on renting any properties from Beachfront Only again.
