Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The apartment is one of the best we ever booked as it iOS 30 seconds from the beach, great facilities like the pool, Billard and gym. The apartment was super clean and nicely decorated. We loved the patio most and enjoyed the ocean view while having breakfast. Parking is for free in the basement. We definitely recommend this stay.

Unit also came with a bunch of beach accessories like chairs, football, boogie boards etc.The unit is next to a fairly busy street, so if you have young kids (infants) that have a hard time sleeping, I would look for a unit on the inside of the complex.

Reviewer Comments: Unit was in a good location and a great patio area, but there were issues with the shower faucet kept dropping and wasn't maintained well, also the coffee machine was super old and broken and was extremely frustrating trying it make a cup of coffee. Other than that it was a good stay just needed some maintenance fixes .

The trip was amazing, but the room was a big part of it. the room was very comfortable with nice lazy boys and a decent couch. The kitchen is very functionable with an oven, which is convenient if you like to cook instead of eat out, and previous reviews of a bad coffee maker has be resolved, this room has a nice one, plus an ice maker in the freezer is a pleasant surprise. the selling point for this room though has to be the patio, large quiet and both open and secluded, it was quite tranquil in the mornings, having coffee and listening to the birds sing. this room is perfect for people with mobility issues as well, easy access to the beach and parking without a ton of stairs means that even my brother and his bad knees had a wonderful time. I would stay in this room again, and encourage others to do so as well.

Only complaint was that the beach chairs and umbrella have seen better days but still usable. Coffe machine works, just pops open from time to time. AC was needed but windows at night sufficed. A few loud cars, racing up the road but that ended early. All and all great place. Would rent again.

Week in Oceanside

This unit was perfect for us size wise and close to the beach. It was equipped pretty good. Only few recommendations such as a few large bowls in the kitchen for salads, chips ect. and door matts outside entrances to help keep sand out. We did donate one door matt to the unit! A tv in each room was great but they were kind of tricky to operate sometime not being able to find the Cox cable at all. The chairs at the kitchen table were very warn and the sofa and living room chairs and area rug could use a good steam leaning also. Otherwise all was pretty good. We were there in September and it was cold and cloudy most of the time, however it was very difficult to keep the bedrooms cool. Being a ground floor unit was not safe to leave windows open during the the night or when we were gone from unit, can't imagine how it would be in the summertime.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the Dolphin Dreams cottage for about a week in late August. The location is really great...lower floor unit with direct access to Breakwater way that leads directly to the Strand and the beach. The beach is literally a 2 minute walk. The large patio is much better than the upstairs units with balconies because you have more room and direct access to just walk out. Here's the bad thing about the location: because it is located right at the end of the Strand, the frontage one way road that runs parallel to the beach, you have vehicles going past ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG. And for some reason a lot of them are blaring music, gunning their engines as they make the turn and just in general being pretty obnoxious. Also, this end of the Oceanside beach, (about a 15 min walk from the pier) is not super glamorous. There are public restrooms right as you hit the beach from Breakwater and many days there were quite a few homeless folks hanging out there, going through the trash, etc. But the beach itself is lovely and was never too crowded to find a place to make our camp. The unit itself is nicely appointed with an updated well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and linens and towels were fine. The furnishings are definitely older in the main living area but they were clean and the unit had plenty of room for 4 adults (my husband and our two grown kids). The decor throughout the unit is odd. Like, most beach rentals really go in on the "beach" theme and while this unit had a bit of that, it also had some odd choices and things that looked like they just grabbed from a garage sale. It didn't bother us at all, but if you're picky about high end or modern decor you definitely have to be prepared. North Coast Village is a MASSIVE property with many amenities. This unit is not really part of the main, towering condo-type rooms, but much easier to get in and out of whether you were walking or driving. It was a great stay and we'll be back!

We come for a family reunion every other year and this has been our favorite location yet, it was so easy to run back and forth from the beach. Kitchens was well stocked. Appreciated hooks for towels. My only complaint is paying over $4,000 and not even getting toilet paper for the week. Come on. Soap and shampoo are annoying but toilet paper is just too far. I mean you’re talking maybe what, $5 per family to have enough rolls to last a week? That is just a gross level of greed. The “basic supplies” were the same for 2 people renting for only a few nights as they were for 6 people renting for a week. I feel like something small put a damper on our visit as someone had to rush out to the store one day because we didn’t realize there wasn’t more somewhere. It’s just the principle.
