Family Total Eclipse Gathering
Peaceful country setting with lots of outdoor patio space. The kids loved the pool and we all loved visiting the sheep. Greate for families a short drive to Waco.

Grooms Cave
Rented for the wedding weekend. Close to the venue and gave all the groomsmen a nice placed to enjoy the weekend away from the venue.

Nice country get-away
We very much enjoyed our stay over Labor Day weekend. The kids loved the large pool and fishing at the pond. The sheep were a big hit with the little kids as well. The house was big enough for our 16 person family with plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. The large outdoor porch was awesome and the separate pool house was a nice place to sit and watch the kids swim. As others have stated, the landscaping could use some help. We did not mind the lack of greenery as its brown all over Texas this year, but some weed eating around the pool area and general upkeep would have been nice. There were still quite a few light bulbs out all over the place with a bathroom or two only having a single vanity light bulb working. The house was in good shape other than the light bulbs. Overall its a nice place to stay, but with a little bit of TLC it could be very nice. (4 star overall due to landscape and lightbulbs only)

Still Needs Improvements
This was our second stay here this summer. The only thing that was rectified from my previous review was they had shredded/mowed everything which was a huge improvement. However, the outer glass of the door in the back bedroom was busted out. Luckily there was also an inner pane of glass that was intact so we could still use the bedroom. There were even more light bulbs out, including the breezeway between the houses which required a flashlight to walk across now. The freezer was turned off when we got there. The refrigerator hadn't been cleaned. There was no broom or dust pan. The outside table hadn't been cleaned & was dirty& sticky. I live in a rural area & understand that insects are a part of that but I have never seen so many, so large spiders in my life! You had to watch were you walked outside & we had to fish multiple spiders out of the pool each morning. The house just isn't being maintained & as other reviewers have stated, the pictures no longer accurately represent the house.

So Much Potential
Our extended family of 10 spent 4 days at this lovely house. First, the positives, the location was very central for all our family. It is very private in a beautiful setting. There are grocery stores & dollar stores within 15-20 minutes for any needed items.The house is huge & gave us all room to be together or separate for a bit. Do be aware that 3 of the bedrooms are across a breezeway & separate from the main house. This was not mentioned in the listing. The pool house was a great place to get out of the sun & relax. The kitchen is gorgeous & huge. The sun platform in the pool was used a lot. The pool is large & there was plenty of room for all of us at once. Several of our group enjoyed fishing in the pond. Unfortunately, the floating dock has been pulled out. Now for the negatives. The outside is very overgrown, with plants 5'+ in the flower beds. You had to crawl through bushes to open the front There were a minimum of 20 light bulbs out all over the house. The pool skimmer does not appear to be working or just barely. We were constantly cleaning out bugs, etc. There were only 4 wash cloths provided for our family of 10. We had to buy some from the dollar store to get by. The kitchen was very poorly stocked. The dishwasher didn't clean the dishes even with cleaning them off before washing. We had to hand wash everything. The toilet seat in the pool house was missing & later found in a cabinet. This house could be absolutely amazing with just some attention & upkeep.

Disappointing
The pictures posted are not representative of the current state of the property. The flower beds around the front door and pool area are completely unkept and overgrown and there was bird poop all over the front porch. The bathroom/shower in the pool house doesn’t work. There was a broken foozeball table just lying on the ground in disrepair. There is a dart board, but no darts. The beautiful master bedroom and bath did not have working air conditioning. There is no outdoor tv as the pictures show. The dock at the pond was pretty much totally out of the water, and there was no clear path to even get down to it to fish. Overall, we made the best of the situation, the inside of the house was clean, but for the money we paid, we were extremely disappointed.

Vacation 2.0
This was our second time using the home. We enjoyed ourselves once again. We fished. We swam in the pool. We played games in the game room. We slept and relaxed. We felt like we were on a secluded island of our own. The grandkids were thrilled with the sheep and goats we saw. Large space for a lot of family to house at once. We rate this home #1 on our list for vacationing. Loved the shower and jacuzzi tub in the master also.

Beautiful Ranch
The house and property are magnificent. The kitchen is to die for! Upkeep such as grass near the house and the pool could use more attention. The master bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in and the master shower is other-worldly! Loved having so many bathrooms. Note: 3 bedrooms and 3 baths are in a guesthouse across a breeze way. One bath is in the poolhouse and was non-functional. The views of the pond and sunsets and sheep/goats are spectacular, but the pond is not accessible except through fencing/field. The poolhouse was great for hanging out away from the sun. Overall, we loved our stay.

Perfect “Getaway”
Our family absolutely LOVED this property! It is a beautiful countryside estate with every modern amenity you could ask for including super fast Internet which was a plus for our gaming teenagers. The property offered us privacy and security yet also still close enough to an H‑E‑B Plus in Woodway off Hwy 84. The only complaint we could really think of would be the overgrown flower beds around the house and several light bulbs being out throughout the property otherwise nothing major whatsoever and we would definitely stay here again! We made the most beautiful memories with our family and close friends, and are hoping to plan another trip back in the future! Thank you owners for sharing your lovely home with us!!!

Lots of potential
We booked this beautiful home on VRBO on March the 5th 2023 .Owner sent details on how to access the gates and house codes 24 hours prior arrival. Home is located high on a hill with gorgeous views all around. Lots of acreage and there is a small ‘lake’ and just awesome space in general. The photos of the home on the website match the home but what is not noted on the home details is that the main house is where the kitchen, laundry room, living room, bunk bed room and master bedroom are. The rest of the 2/3 rooms and garage are detached Said detachment also includes the garage. T Unfortunately, you cannot lock the bedroom doors from the inside the said detachment building. Hence anyone can gain access to that part of the rooms at any one point. When we checked in we found trash from the previous guests, loads of laundry (loads o sheets, duvets, dirty pillows etc) all on the laundry floor. Also found was a very dirty kitchen. With only 1 washer and dryer, it took us 5 hours to wash all the sheets and duvets which was really an inconvenience. We called the number provided at time of reservation and advised them the home had not been cleaned. Owner advised that they would send 2 people to clean the house the next day. Only 1 came hence cleaning took longer. The fridge was overstocked with lots of open items previous guests removed had left. We removed all the items and cleaned the fridge so we could place our groceries on shelves. The fridge did not work at all. The fridge did not work at all so we placed most of the perishable items in the freezer which had slightly higher fridge temperatures. We mentioned this to the cleaning lady and she advised that there was a fridge in the pool building section. Checked the said fridge and it was indeed working but also very dirty. 2 days later, the fridge started working. All items were frozen, including the eggs, bread. The owner never did anything to rectify the fridge issue or inquire of whether fridge had started working. We planned to use the grill for the duration of stay only to find that only 1 of the burners worked. The grill was also very dirty and full of old food bits left over oil in the grill. Short Family Wedding Trip
Beautiful Ranch Style Home! Need a very good cleaning, it was dirty. The fridge was filthy and the freezer also. Dishwasher wouldn't work and ice maker leaks. No Propane for the outside fireplace. Called contact number and was asked to go get it ourselves. But it would be charged. This property has great potential but needs a good cleaning staff and better management.
