"The biggest downside to a ski-in-ski-out hotel is carrying your heavy luggage through the snow. No room service, no luggage support, but the location is great for a ski vacation. Check-in is only after 3pm. If you arrive earlier, there will be no staff at the front desk. You can leave your stuff in the storage space at B1 anytime though. Staff are mostly Chinese so many travelers from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan stay here. Breakfast buffet was limited but okay. We also had the sukiyaki dinner (reserve in advance) at the hotel dining room. It was yummy after a day of skiing. There are snowboard gear for rental at this hotel, but most people go to the rental shop which is much bigger and right across from the hotel. There are also a couple of buses that stop right in front of the hotel at Hatsukaishi entrance. Make sure to ask the bus driver for Hatsukaishi entrance. The room and beds were small but comfortable enough. There are towels provided and a bathtub. There is a public onsen which is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel that only costs 1000 yen per person. The hotel front desk offers 200 yen coupon for this onsen. Be sure to check it out! The onsen is much more spacious and comfortable for a bath than using the hotel bathroom. Wifi was ok. Not very soundproof rooms though. Most of the other shops and restaurants are down by the train station which is a 10 minute bus ride away, and there are almost no buses or taxis at night, so be sure to plan ahead."
