“The property was great. My party really enjoyed it. The only issue is that it was very cold when we arrived. I would suggest in winter having the heat on several hours prior to guest arrival. Otherwise, a great experience. ”

“Abbots Mead is a real find, excellent value for money in a central location to explore Shrewsbury on foot. The bedroom was small but clean and nicely presented. The bathroom was a little cramped but was clean and functional. All the staff that we met were friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel. The parking arrangement is not ideal, but central location makes it a real plus point as is worth the effort to occasionally move to let someone out. Leaving the car keys at reception was a……

“A lovey place to stay with a beautiful walk into the town centre. ”

“The bar downstairs is fun, noisy & lively. The bedrooms right above are the same. So if you don’t want a DJ in your bedroom until midnight, stay elsewhere. They provide ear plugs in the rooms, so draw your own conclusion. The breakfast was nice k the location was great, very central.”

“I booked this room for one night with my two young children to attend a sporting event nearby. The hotel is situated very near to the railway station and above a very noisy pub. The room itself is very basic which was fine for our one night stay and we appreciate there is little to be done about the outside noise however the window was broken we had to wedge it shut, this didnt help with the noise volume. The water was cold in the evening which meant cold showers before bed the room overall was……

“Location was fine. Room was freezing. Instructions were incomplete so was unable to change mode to actually heat the space. Brekkie was adequate (comparing to numerous Premier Inns I have stayed in over the past 3 weeks of travel in the UK.”
