“I came to shiga kogen for skiing. The hotel location is excellent. You can have either 3 mins driving to Yokoteyama ski area or 5 mins driving to central area. Other than the location, all staff are very polite, patient and helpful. Some of the staff are able to communicate in English and Cantonese fluently. “This hotel is a traditional Japanese property and such the rooms and the food served in their restaurants are all keeping with the Japanese culture and traditions. There is an onsen, hot spring pools, on site to soak in. They have a great and friendly staff who were very helpful in many ways. “This was a gem for our ski trip. Before checkin the staff was very helpful with transportation suggestions and questions. Because the road to the hotel is not drivable in the winter you call the hotel from the parking/bus area and they come and pick you up via snowmobile, this in itself was a fun experience for my son. The room was quite, clean, and had the right amenities. The food was Japanese but very good and staff ensures dietary restrictions are met. ”
