“Air conditioning was not working. But luckily it cooled down enough at night to make it bearable. The room and the balcony were great as was the staff. ”

“The front desk staff were fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about them. The bar/in hotel restaurant however might have been the worst service I’ve ever had. It took over 20 minutes to get a simple drink, and another 40 minutes to get our food, which was wrong/not what we ordered. The server was very polite (I don’t recall her name), but the wait times and lack of attention to detail was abysmal. The hotel and stay were wonderful, but I would never eat or get a drink there if I come back”

“One of the best hotels to stay in when in Detroit. Huge room with a kitchen so it’s great for long stays.”

“The Element is in a great location. The room was very nice and clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. I liked the view and the kitchenette. Overall and excellent place to stay during the Movement festival.”

“The room was very clean. The hotel space in general seemed very clean However, the room had some weird random things- the faucet in the bathroom was loose and just kinda flopping around. The toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. And after REALLY looking at the bathroom I noticed the trim was painted EXTREMELY messily While NONE of this was an issue with the stay - I guess I just expect more for the amount that’s paid for the room. “Delightful to stay in a mansion turned into an bed and breakfast right in the middle of downtown Detroit.”

“A very unique hotel! Accommodations were unlike any other that we have experienced. Staff was very pleasant. Breakfast served at the lovely bar was very good. The decor and furnishings are appropriate to the club’s history. We would recommend The Detroit Club to anyone who appreciates an unusual night’s sleep. ”

“Just ok. Clean, comfortable bed, decent shower. But there are no other amenities really. Room is pretty basic. Staff was less than welcoming.”

“Property was clean, spacious and close to all amenities in the downtown area. There were a few appliances that needed to be replaced, the iron did not work and the tea kettle lid didn't close property. Minor inconveniences, but overall a great stay.”

“My wife and I stayed at the Roehm House. It was awesome. Quiet, well maintained and friendly staff. We will book a stay again, when we travel back to Detroit. The only downside was no Continental Breakfast. But I understand the reason because of some renovations. With that said, it easy within easy walking distance to several restaurants. However, on our last night of our stay, we enjoyed some crackers and cheese with wine on the front porch with the beautiful weather and surroundings. We will……
