“The room was clean and spacious. The property is amazing with nature trails right outside your cabin and a beautiful garden with a talking parrot. The hotel/restaurant also has a few chickens and a turkey. The food at the restaurant was so authentic and some of the best food we ate in Costa Rica. I definitely recommend the tilapia. We ate at the restaurant for 3 of the 4 meals that we had when we were in the area because of how good and convenient it was. Would definitely recommend to anyone……

“We had a great time at the property. It is a family owned property, very well maintained and managed. The whole family very amicable and friendly. Uncle gave us a free night tour in his garden which was really sweet and informative. Loved the breakfast aunty prepared. Only drawback is the road to property is broken however nothing can match to the great hospitality! Me and wife had a great experience and would recommend everyone to opt for stay at Jardin if you want have an experience of homely……

“Eine wirklich sehr schöne Unterkunft, mit tollem Ausblick. Die Betten waren bequem und es gab eine kleine Küche. Das Frühstück war das Beste auf unserer bisherigen Rundreise. Der Besitzer bringt jeden Abend einen Mix aus verschieden Essen. Sehr abwechslungsreich und richtig lecker. Bei uns gab es von traditionellen Frühstück bishin zu Sandwiches, overnight oats, Obst, Semmeln, Toastbrot, Marmelade, Joghurt, Milch… echt top. Der Besitzer ist super lieb und gab uns Tipps für Unternehmungen. Also……

“Do not be discouraged by the road to Rancho Humo, what lies at the end turned out to be a real gem. This property is nestled up against the central wetlands of Nicoya peninsula on the shore of the Tempisque river and is a definitive location for birdwatchers from all over. My wife and I are not birdwatchers but booked this based on its remote location and its high marks from other reviews. We also booked in offseason so fortunately for us we were the only guests and the staff was so great……

“Joel at the front desk was very friendly and amazing. Although we stayed only for one night, the hospitality we received was great. The breakfast was served on the table with plenty of items. Joel offered plenty of advice for visiting the national park, the general safety tips, etc. The views were breathtaking, wish we stayed longer. ”

“This hotel is situated in quiet nature. The scenery is calming and so are the rooms. Every room has a view like out of a postcard of the lake and the mountain and greenery. The staff are amazing, attentive and welcome but do not speak fluent English. It allowed me to practice my Spanish and also enjoy the culture even more. The food - breakfast … I don’t know if there are enough words in any langue to describe the quality, presentation and taste. Everything is made in the open kitchen and……

“Inhaberin super freundlich, macht alles möglich, spricht super Englisch. Unterkunft war wie beschrieben mitten in der Natur und sauber. Wir hatten noch zusätzliche Moskitonetze, die wären aber nicht unbedingt notwendig gewesen. Sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen waren ausgezeichnet. Wichtig zu wissen: für die Anfahrt lieber einen SUV oder 4x4 nehmen und unbedingt die „richtige“ Straße nutzen, nicht den direkten Google Maps Weg vom Nationalpark. ”
