"This was a really nice place to stay. I will start by saying that I don't need a lot of fluff in the place I stay. As long as the room is clean and the bed is comfortable I am happy. I got that and more.
Check in was very easy. Showed my ID and credit card and was given a key. It didn't take more than a few minutes.
This is an older motel. You can tell by the style and the way it looked from the outside. When I walked in the room I was pleasantly surprised. There was a table and chairs, a desk, refrigerator, and microwave. It looked like the bathroom had been remodeled. It had a large shower instead of a tub/ shower combo. The bathroom was small compared to other hotels but it was big enough for what it is used for.
There was a picnic table and bar b que area in the middle of the courtyard which was a nice touch. We didn't use it but it was there. We ate soup and sandwiches cooked in our microwave in the room.
There was construction going on so there was a lot of banging fairly late in the day. That was really the only thing that was a real negative about our stay. They have to do the work sometime, so I do understand.
I stayed here with my husband and we were both impressed with quality for the price paid. "
"The dome was cute but the bed wasn’t great and our plastic windows were almost opaque. The shower was a short walk but not a lot of space to put clothes to change so we didn’t bother. It would be nice if each dome had a private outdoor sitting area/patio."
"Great place to stay. We arrived late and left early with the kids. Beds were good. Sofa bed was ok for tired children, as expected. Zero issue with cleanliness or comfort. Would stay again for sure."
"This was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Kenneth is an amazing person and is very kind. It’s an unpaved road to get the site but we managing in a Honda civic. The stars were amazing and the views were even better! Highly recommend. "
"I stayed in Little House for 3 weeks while exploring The Needles District of Canyonlands. Little House is perfect for this because it’s closer to The Needles than Moab, and Monticello has a grocery store and several gas stations. Communication with the host was timely and helpful, especially because I needed a package delivered to the address. The property is safe and snug, very quiet, tucked behind the “Main House,” and separated by a tall fence. Little House has a 2-burner hot plate, a small sink, a small refrigerator and freezer, and a microwave. Two in-wall electric heaters (one in the bedroom, one in the living room) kept me warm during December/January. Wi-fi is smoking fast, so it’s great for catching up on work. Nearby, Loyd’s Lake provides a 2 mile gravel hiking path around the lake, with nice views and vault bathrooms. National forest land is just up the road (literally up…8,000 feet) from Monticello. This was a great place to stay as a home base from which to explore the beautiful area."
