「This is the hotel I stay at whenever I go to Detroit Lakes. Close proximity to the beach, park, restaurants. The continental breakfast is good.」

「The chlorine smell was enough to burn your eyes when you walked in the door. Room smelt very musty…outside soffits are falling off and the place was run down.」

「This is not the country inn and suites that you think you know. The outside looks like a 1980’s office building. No porch. No welcome and inviting lobby. Staff was nice enough but not hospitable in that warm welcome. Better options available and nothing special to say pick this property.」

「Someone smoked and talked on phone right outside my window. Hotel was not well lit from street. Staff was courteous when I checked in. Hallways had smoke smell, but actual room smelled clean.」

The location is ideal: on the bike path and easy distance to the Trolls... which is why so many people come to DL, right? ;-) The staff was terrific; friendly and so helpful.
