" We enjoyed our trip. It was our first time to the area and stayed st Homestead Suites. We started our morning with breakfast at Julie’s. You can’t go wrong eating here. Then we drove into the Peninsula State Park and climbed the tower and checked out the sights. Stopped at the Wild Tomato and ate a great pizza outside. After lunch we drove to the Edgewood Orchard Galleries. It was amazing, We wanted it all. The artist get 5 Stars++.We tried to take in a sunset, but Mother Nature didn’t cooperate. Still a very pretty view.
The next day we headed to White Gull Inn. Another amazing breakfast and the Inn is beautiful. Then off to Cana Island Lighthouse and yes we made it up all 97 stairs for the eye popping view. We had a great conversation with the gentleman taking care of the lighthouse. Started getting a little cloudy, so we stopped for lunch at the Bayside Tavern and a little shopping downtown. Our last day we took a drive to Sister Bay and stopped at Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant gift shop. We had to buy a baseball cap, Norwegian Flag or Uff Da, the flag won. Then drove up to watch the Ferry load and unload for the island. We had a great burger and fries at the Hill Street Bar. We had a wonderful time and recommend a visit."
"We loved this old style motel .Check in and check out was friendly and informative. The location right across from the park was great. We will stay here again when we come back to this area!"
