Just a perfect trip!

I had a fantastic experience! The communication with the property owner was a breeze, and they were incredibly responsive. The view from the rental was simply breathtaking, making the whole stay even more memorable. I'm already looking forward to my next trip and will definitely stay at this VRBO property again. Highly recommended!

Great place for families

The unit was clean and just as described. Just enough room for the family for relaxing. The property was within walking distance to a lot of the amenities the island had to offer. The property amenities were fantastic. There was a huge pool, gym, and lazy river that we frequented. Had a wonderful time! We would definately recommend staying here.

The view alone is worth the $$!

Very nice condo with newer furniture and very clean. The view is amazing--ocean is front and center from your balcony. I would recommend this place to anyone! The resort is also very nice and convenient. Short walk to the beach and our two chairs and umbrella were waiting for us every morning with our name on them!

Complex was great. Condo was cozy and clean. heated pools were great. We were still able To swim even though it was march. We liked it because it was not in the heart of all the action like Destin but only a 10 minute drive to all of the attractions.

Wonderful Family Condo/Resort

The Condo was absolutely amazing and worked perfectly for our family (4 Adults & 1 child). The view is wonderful, very relaxing, and we loved the top floor condo! The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The condo was very roomy as well for our family, the splash pad was perfect for our little one, and the free beach service was great as well! I highly recommend this condo for a family or couple wanting a great beach location!

We had the best time

We stayed in this Condo for our first visit ever to Destin. My four sons, husband, and I had a great time and loved this condo. The view was amazing and the condo had everything we needed! Also Bill was very nice to work with and easy to communicate with when needed. Thank you again!

Great

We had a wonderful stay in this condo at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. It was clean and comfortable and the view of the ocean was awesome. The beach was easily accessible and there were many food options within walking distance, which was a big plus when you have children. Bill was very easy to work with and always got back with me promptly whenever I had a question. Would definitely stay here again and just may do so next year.

Beds need to be replaced getting a little worn. Cleaning crew didn’t sweep very well. Sand on the floor when we arrived. Overall good value. Would stay again.

Beautiful view and excellent condo. Lacks substantial supplies.

We loved this condo. It was clean, really nice view and had plenty of space. The only negative was that we ran out of toilet paper the second day we were there and there was no extra in the room. That should be a supply maintained by the owner in my opinion, it was just aggravating to have to run to the store for toilet paper. Other than a couple minor things we loved the condo and will rent again. Very family friendly resort. Thanks.

Our new beach getaway PARADISE!

My daughter asked for a "Destin"ation getaway for her Sweet 16....who am I to argue? 5 teenage girls and myself LOVED Okaloosa Island AND the condo with the best view of everything! Bill & Shelley were great to work with and offer a condo that adds to the ultimate Ocean life/Beach dweller vacation. I personally loved waking up every morning for coffee on the 6th floor patio and enjoying the view and sounds of the waves! This was our first time to Fort Walton....but we will DEFINITELY be back ASAP! Thank you for sharing! ~kp

Great location

This unit was just what we needed. It’s not fancy, and sure, could use some paint and updating in areas, but all I need is a comfortable bed and all the appliances and amenities of home. This unit delivers that. My kids, mother and I loved it! Parking was no trouble at all. There were plenty of carts available to help get stuff unloaded/loaded quickly. A/C worked well. Nice stove and refrigerator. WiFi worked well. Washer and dryer were so convenient to have in the unit. Will return next summer.

Great location

We loved the location of this condo. Great views, walkable to food options, good pool options. The chair service daily on the beach was a huge perk for us. We have young kids so not having working DVD players the first few days wasn't great as the weather was a little cold and we needed some indoor options. Once we put them in bed, the cable was glitchy and the two DVD players didn't work. We read through our books waiting for them to be fixed and ultimately they were replaced on day 4. It was a great space for our family of 4. Loved how quiet the condo was at night too. First place I can remember staying down here that hallway noise or outdoor noise messing with our sleep. Thanks for letting us stay!

Nice View, Kind Owner, but...

The condo has very nice view of the pools and the beach, but it was not very clean. The floor was dirty that it turned the bottom of our feet black if we walk on the floor barefeet. There was stains on the bedding. The king matress was okay, but the matressed on the bunk beds and the sofa bed were very cheap and old that they were very uncomfortable to sleep on. All furnitures were old. The kitchen supplies were okay but had many items that needs to be replaced. The can opener was so old that it rusted. The most frustrated thing was the elevators to our floor was not working during our stay. We traveled with children, so it was very inconvenient for us to go up and down the stairs with strollers/wagon, not to mention it was a big hassle unloading our luggage when we arrived and loading when we leave. We had to carry one by one from/to the car. Same with the kids, my husband and I had to take turn carrying them to/from the car because we can't use the stroller/wagon to carry them all to the parking lot (we had 4 kids (2 toddlers and one baby)). I understand that the elevators were out due to the hurricane a few weeks ago, but it would be nice if the owner let us know ahead of time so that we can be prepared. We did not enjoy our stay at the condo overall but I'm giving it 3 stars because of the view and the kindness of the owner. We accidentally broke a glass ball in a decorating basket, but sge did not charge us. We also checked out late 40 min due to carrying multiple things one by one to the car since we couldn't use the cart with the stairs. As for the resort, the bayside area had more pools but everything was very old and smaller than expected. Pools were also dirty with lots of floating debris. We will not be back at Destin West again.

Condo was great but Beach Service Set Up Daily not so much

As always, it was a great pleasure to rent from this owner. We have rented many times from him and a few of his different condos. He is very attentive and responds quickly if needed. As for the beach service included, it was a an inconvenience to have to wake up early to stand in line daily to make sure you were able to get an umbrella/ chairs in a good spot. Unfortunately, this is out of the owners hands bc it is ran by a different company. This is the first year we have us to do this and it was aggravating bc it put me on a time schedule and I don’t like to be in a time schedule on vacation. I like to sleep in late if I want and know that my spot is already set up on beach waiting for me. In all years prior, we would go on the first day and reserve the beach service for all week and it would be set up each day. But like I said this is out of the owner of the condo’s control. The owner and the condo is awesome!
