“A wonderful guesthouse a few miles outside of town. It had everything we needed and the communication with the owners was great. The only small downside was the combo washer/dryer took 5 hours to do a very small load and we couldn't use it overnight because it was right next to the pullout bed.”

“Wonderful 2 bedroom apartment just a few minutes drive from Hilo town center. This is set in a lovely location with lots of space and lovely surroundings including a view of the ocean. Raul was very responsive whenever we needed anything. We arrived early and we were very appreciative of the fact that we were able and welcomed to check in early. The dining table on the covered patio was very nice to have and their neighbors have goats that we enjoyed seeing munching on the landscape. The trade……

“We enjoyed our stay at this clean, thoughtfully decorated, and conveniently located residence. It was somewhat difficult to find the first time due to all the cars parked on the road, making the driveway hard to find. However, once we found it, we were easily able to find our parking spot and get into the home thanks to the directions sent from Simone. The home is very cozy and we enjoyed our stay. We were thankful for the earplugs as the frogs are quite loud at night.”

“The property lists a kitchen but there is not. The is a refrigerator, plates/cups/etc and some plug in appliances, but washing dishes in a tiny bathroom sink was not ideal. There was laundry accessible and the house was very safe and comfortable during a hurricane. Just beware that if you are looking for a kitchen, there isn’t really. Otherwise the property was perfect for our stay.”

“Very clean and updated room that fit our family of five comfortably. The host provided great communication throughout our stay, which made everything easy and stress-free. The shower pressure was a bit low, and the property itself looked a little sketchy at first glance, but don't let that deter you. We had no issues other than a little noise from upstairs that was mentioned in other reviews We contacted Maggie once about a remote that wasn’t working and she responded quickly and corrected the problem. “This is a gem of a house - a true find. My husband and I went to Hilo with four of our grown children to visit family. The house is one of three in a beautiful tropical setting behind a very secure gate. The house is simple, clean, and had plenty of everything we needed like towels, dishes, and bedding. It was truly a haven to return to each day. We walked to great coffee, Thai food, and First Friday Arts Festival. When I had questions (wanted early check in, couldn’t figure out the keypad at……

“Pros: Property was clean and smelled good as soon as you walk in. Big property, nice parking, quiet area, good location near major attractions. Cons: No sink in the kitchen. Especially annoyed that they ask for you to clean all the dishes before you leave. I don’t know what they’re thinking. Bathrooms are on the smaller side, and each bathroom has the smallest sink you’ll ever see, which would not have been a major problem if they did not ask you to clean the dishes in them.
