“Property is beautiful, and felt like home. Owner was very responsive to last minute issues. Very close to the bus stop. Once you are in the COMO area, be ready to walk. The UBER, Taxi are not reliable at all and the bus service is very poor during the day, but runs free service at night after 7/730 pm, which is pretty regular and nice. Will stay here again on my next visit as well, may be will bring less luggage... lol.”

“The apartment was spacious, even with the extra bed they kindly put up for us so that our son could visit. Don't under estimate the steepness of the climb to the apartment! We walked up in the rain from the train station with luggage. The short cut paths will save you some time but the cobbles are very slippy when wet. However the view from the balcony when the rain cleared made it worthwhile, it must be the best view we have ever had from a holiday home!Our only issue was the bed, it was creaky……

“Firstly, the hosts were incredibly communicative as we had a few issues we had to navigate. One, the description of the property didn't match what we received. We booked through Expedia which was where the discrepancy in the number of bathrooms showed up. We verified later that other listings only showed one bathroom. For this reason, I'm putting blame on Expedia. The second issue we had was a leaky air conditioning unit that dropped water on the sofa bed. We resolved this by moving the bed away……

“We loved this lovely apartment. It was very clean with all the amenities. The views were breathtaking! There was a heat wave while we were there and the air conditioning was such a welcomed relief. Carla our host was easy to reach and very helpful. We had a car and were able to park on premises. It is a hike down to Varenna and if you drive the road is very narrow with many sharp turns but so worth it !”

"A big and nice hotel, especially with strong air conditioner. The staff is helpful. The restaurant outside with perfect view which you can’t miss out."

"Overall it is a good experience. Room is ok. The only issue is that there is no window at the lower floor - small window for the upper floor. Saying that, the sun light is good. In terms of room space, we have 2 15/13 year old kids and after the sofabed is spread out, there is limited space. Gym is great with everything while pool is also very nice. Overall service level is very good. We probably need a more sensible solution if we need to call a cab from the city."
