“We loved our short stay in Cairn Lodge. The hotel is so beautifully decorated, the staff is warm and welcoming, the food was delicious. The room was clean and smelled so fresh. The bed was super comfortable. This place hasn’t missed a single thing. I easily give it 5 stars!”
“We stayed for 2 nights. This was by far our favourite stay on our 2 week Scotland holiday.
This Inn feels so luxurious and is truly top notch.
I cannot say enough about the restaurant. My goodness, Michelin level food and service! Truly!
The detail put in to our rooms furnishings and decor was gorgeous.
And the staff are a level above the rest. Incredible.”
“Large clean comfy room, friendly and very helpful staff. Brilliant stay for our dog - he enjoyed his lovely welcome pack and dog bed ( and didn’t want to join us on our bed 😂 )”
“I stayed here so that I could attend the Highland games in Crieff and was only here just over 13 hours. Keep in mind that it's an old building with no a/c or lift and you'll be just fine! I took only the things I needed for the night in with me (leaving the rest in my car, where it felt very safe) and I slept with the window open and I was just fine (I'm very warm-blooded). The breakfast was great, but the icing on the cake is that the owner is a hoot! I really enjoyed chatting with her, even……
“Great B&B, perfect location for exploring Sterling. Very well appointed spacious room with delicious home cooked breakfast sourced from local produce. Lovely views and gardens. The host was very welcoming.”
“Every time we come back to the Royal, it never ceases to disappoint. The staff are the people who make this such a special and charming hotel. The warmest of welcomes and we were so well taken care of. Attentive and polite customer services, similar to that of Ashford Castle, that seems to be lost in many establishments these days. The only complaint we had, was that the bedroom was cold even with the small radiator up to its maximum temperature, and the fires had not been lit in the bar area……
“A wonderful property. Easy walk from the train and bus stations and downtown shopping and restaurant district. The staff was very welcoming and eager to serve our every need. The rooms were large, comfortable, with all the needed amenities.
The restaurant has wonderful food. Our dinners were the best we had on our trip to Scotland. The breakfasts were bountiful and tasty.
Would definitely stay here our next visit to Stirling. ”
“Stayed as a family with my 11 year old daughter. We were comfortable and loved the location, proximity to the old jail and castle, and the character and history of the hostel. ”
“I received an email from the host with accurate check-in information 1 day prior to check in. The breakfast was very minimal with toast being the only hot food offered. The windows in the room opened, allowing a nice breeze. The bed was soft and moderately comfortable. The view of the Sterling streets was nice and the property is within a 15 minute walk of the sterling castle. Be advised of spiral staircases making it difficult to get luggage larger than carry-on size up to the room.
