“The location was beautiful. The rooms are VERY large. I was not aware that the room did not have a/c or fan (but I did not read the details, I just assumed it did because of the pricing) the weather was not super hot this day so it was ok, but on a warmer day it definetly needs it, also no TV at least in our room, the bathroom had some leaking in the shower. The beds and pillows were ok. Maybe we just assumed beacuse of the price that it would be a little more premium. But the experience was Ok……

“We loved our stay here. The grounds of the property are beautiful and interesting with lots of birds and butterflies (note there is some small construction going on at the moment but this didn’t affect us). It was a relaxing and peaceful place for a few days with excellent hiking nearby to the waterfalls and river swimming pools. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the enclosed seating area at the front of each cabin, with fresh coffee provided, was a great place just to sit for a while.……

“They just finished painting the pool edge...looks great. This is our 3 year at the Trapp Family Inn. The only thing that was different was it was warmer than usually in San Jose than in previous years. The rooms were definitely warmer, but we were glad we had ceiling fans. Service, Food, and hospitality were great. We'll be BACK!”

“We chose the hotel for it's convenient location in the city of Orotina , where we were visiting relatives . The staff was good , perhaps a little inattentive on check out. The reception office was closed and I had to look around for someone to return my key. Be advice there's is a very noisy soccer academy right next door . We were alocated on room 11 , close to the academy . It can be an issue if you are trying to rest early evening .”

“My daughter and I enjoyed 6 nights at El Sol and felt as if we had truly discovered the “heart” of Costa Rica. The staff were friendly and there to help with anything we might need. Nature was all around us, and occasionally in the cabin with us! The property is well kept. Infinity pool and sunsets gorgeous! There is no actual restaurant on site, but they offer a delicious breakfast and dinner menu that guests can have delivered to their cabin. This was the perfect start to our first visit to……
