"Unconventional because no front desk however communication on checking in, parking, building and room entry were great. Clean rooms with a keurig coffee machine. Short walk to a cute little downtown. Would stay again for sure."

"I was in a bind and had to book at room at this place. I paid $482 for a night (surge pricing) and ended up not staying because it was not clean. The bathroom in lobby said out of use, yet as I waited and rang the bell, the staff member came out of the bathroom. What? Out of order but he comes out. Hotel room toilet had something sketchy and hotel in general had a bad odor. We did not stay but didn't get a refund."

"My family and I enjoyed the lake views, and a VAST selection of K-Cup style coffee at the VERY clean and well equipped North Chain Lake area cottage.Everyone took note of the massive dog bed and dog decor, all of which was quite amusing.The large driveway offers plenty of off street parking in the rear of the house. The driveway is big enough for (4) mid range to full sized vehicles.Both televisions where wifi connected and app boosted for viewing pleasure. Unfortunately my stay did not include lake fun because of a pre-planned alternative engagement but I am certain this property could and will accommodate many future travelers in this arena. Overall 5* we thoroughly enjoyed the property and huge selection of amenities. "

"We were a group of 23 (mix of adults/kids) driving from Chicago for a small group retreat. Upon arrival at 9pm, the driveway was snowed in with 3 inches of snow where 2 cars were stuck at the bottom of the driveway. When I called Sage (guest services) for assistance, she stated that "we would have sent someone tonight, but it cannot be helped until the next morning." When I reached out again, stating that this is a safety issue as we have nowhere to park our cars until tomorrow (we had about 7 cars in our group), and asked again for someone to come tonight, I received the same answer. They eventually sent someone after I persisted over 30 minutes. Once the snow removal arrived, it took another hour for the job to be completed - so several of us had to wait on the street until it was done, preventing us from entering and settling into the home until 11pm. Walkway and stairs were not shoveled or salted - we had to do this on our own.Keurig was not usable - the water case appeared to not have been changed for a very long time, as there was mold in the water.Utensils/dishes were not clean. We had to rewash it by hand before using it because the dishwasher would leave a strange white residue on it. The smoke alarm had a low battery that required changing. This disturbed some of us while sleeping and posed a safety concern as we had to remove the whole alarm.Overall house was clean, but lots of little things that disrupted our stay. "
