「This place is beautiful very zen like vibes. Property is very well kept up with a secluded private feeling. Located in the middle of everything. The road coming into it starts all of these vines the place has. Would’ve gave them 5 stars across the board if it weren’t for the night manager being very rude when the AC went out in our room after a long day of scuba diving. We were moved to another ocean view room like we had after some unnecessary arguing with the guy.」

「There’s only one working elevator and it is confusing at times, because there is a maintenance one in the middle. Otherwise, excellent stay.」

「Be aware, when you book and pay booking, there’s no mention of a $250 security deposit. You get that notice days before check in. You’re told it will be returned after 48hrs (2 days). I checked out Sunday morning after only staying on the property 12 hours, AND DEPOSIT HAS STILL NOT BEEN RETURNED. The place is good, location is great, communication is lackluster, and the elevators weren’t working during our stay either. Luggage was dragged up the stairs.」

「The reef 28 was an excellent choice to stay in Playa De Carmen. The only drawback we had Pool access was under construction, but there accommodating by upgrading us to breakfast at the Hotel. We enjoy the amenities at the hotel and the walking distance to Quinta Avenida to all shops and restaurants. We will be traveling back again later this year in 2026..! Viva Mexico 🇲🇽」

「This property was beautiful on the outside with a great pool scene. It is also conveniently located just steps away from Playa Mamita Beach and 5th Avenue. HOWEVER, internally, the room was quite run down and dirty. Many electrical outlets didn't work. The entire hotel's water was shut of during the middle of the night secondary to reportedly repeated water pump failures explained to me by the manager of the property. There was no blackout curtain to the large sliding door to the balcony. There...

「This is my second year in a row staying here and I can't say enough good things. We stayed in the Garden Suite Bungalow which was clean, spacious, and wonderful. The pool was always well maintained and they were always cleaning to keep things looking great. Staff was wonderful once again. The housekeeping kept making us these cute towel animals that just felt like such a nice touch. Right off of 5th avenue, everything you need is walking distance. I love it there and can't wait to book with...

「The room was spacious and clean but the set up of the bathroom sink causes a lot of excess water to spill onto the counter. The AC and ceiling fan were excellent until the power went out for 4 hours on one day with no explanation or ETA. The passion fruit margaritas and fresh guacamole were the highlights. The seaweed made it completely impossible to access the sand behind the so called beachfront hotel.」
