Staff was great, place is slightly dated, our room had some broken features, but they fixed it when we called- the restaurants were INCREDIBLE!
Definitely a good place to go with kids- I went with my boyfriend in our 20s, not much to do as place shuts down at 11pm. The beach was beautiful, and we overall had a good long weekend!!

Local beach was covered with seaweed and stank

Seaweed problem awful, despite everyone's best efforts to remove. When machines are moving the seaweed, lots of flies appear. I wouldn't come to Playa Del Carmen for the beach, as it is not possible to use.
