I thought this property was great! All the staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was good as well! It was perfect for our honeymoon. Iñake with Costa Rica unique experience was great! We booked three tours through them & it was amazing!! The location is a bit secluded, but if you’re looking for a quiet spot this is great! There’s a few great restaurants nearby.

Not yourbtypical resort. Like cancun or punta cana with a varity of food and resturants. Couple near by seafood places and a taco resturant at entrance of beach called Tila Taco is amazing!!

Amazing Sunsets

Location had amazing views, short discance to the beach, the sunset were gorgeous. The only down was the wifi, wifi didn’t work in the rooms only on at the pool area.

2 star "resort" at best. Food didn't look worth risking. Buildings & rooms are dated. Hardly any chairs around pools. Nicely situated property. Staff were friendly & shuttle service was timely.

I like the location of the property but international dining options are very limited. I prefer they serve various cuisines like Chinese, Thai, Italian, Indian etc. to attract international customers.

The staff were very nice and friendly. The area was of where the hotel was located was fairly convenient. Views of land and beach/sunset were outstanding! Resort is not very updated (hot tub didnt work, not wheelchair accessible) and they didnt have any guest engagement activities. Hotel has outdated carnival rides (was not in use during my stay) and also has a night club (which im assuming most guest did not know about as no one was there during open hours (weekend from 10pm-1am). This resort was stated to have a number of restaurants however, during my stay i was informed there was a buffet(food was hit or miss for lunch/dinner), one include restaurant (was informed of different restrictions-for adults only/for couples only-so i didnt access this restaurant) and one on the beach restaurant that was not included in all inclusive package. There was a taco stand by beach (also not include) was open only 1-2 days out of my 7 day stay.

We left the property early due to the fleas in the room and raccoons in the walls. Staff were nice but the facilities were not properly kept. Ants in the bedding. A headboard was nailed to the wall to cover up a hole in the wall, which we noticed once the raccoons got in. A transformer blew and we didn’t have power for a day. We left early and tried getting money back for days not spent. Management was extremely unresponsive and hung up on us when we asked to speak to someone regarding the issue. We are a Best Western type of family, not used to anything fancy. But this stay was a health concern. Do not recommend staying here.

Let’s start with the good: Service was great, and views are gorgeous! My daughters (7 &4) truly enjoyed the 4 swimming pools and the beach is amazing! I would say 98% of guests at the hotel were local (from Costa Rica), which I enjoyed! AC in both rooms worked great, but other than that, rooms are dated. Beds were a bit hard and pillows too thick for my taste. (I asked for thinner pillows, but I was told they only have that kind). The worst part of our stay was the food. Every morning they served the same (which I wouldn’t necessarily mind if it was actually tasty). One morning not even the pancakes taste good. Afternoon snacks were also the same every day. Burgers made to request were not good. We ended up eating most of our meals outside the hotel. I would strongly encourage you to not pay for the all inclusive option. Either get a room with a kitchen, or eat at all the other local restaurants by the beach, which were great!

While the staff is understaffed their kindness shows and they seem to care... the Condovac property is honestly dilapidated, old and in need of some serious TLC!! The all inclusive property has a singular dining hall for all you can eat, with limited hours. The one other place to eat is by reservation only. There is one timeshare-like sales oriented company that's built into the experience. They offer money back etc. The typically. If you like walking hills... get ready!! Yes they have a shuttle that runs with a generous frequency, but it's not always there when you need it. Get ready for serious cardiovascular workout, via your lower body, make sure your heart is good/pretty strong. Otherwise, be patient and await thr shuttle. The food, in the singular dining hall does not seem to be prepared with true Costa Rican pride; needs improvement. Safety didn't seem to be an issue. The location was probably the best thing it alhas going for it. Even tho black sand beaches are a very different vibe, Playa Hermosa (hermosa beach) didn't disappoint. If I could sum up the Condovac experience in one word it would be; Overpriced. They would be wise to sell. And/or close down for 1 year, and commit to rebuilding. going up and down the hill.

Picture doesn’t do the justice, rooms are dirty with bugs of all kind. No paper towel or small towels were given. Food quality was poor with not much options. I will not come back again.

I read the reviews before coming here and so we were not disappointed, we got what we expected. I would sum it up as you get what you pay for. We paid a really low amount and so I shouldn’t have really high expectations. I would say it used to be really nice when it was new, but they’ve let it go. The rooms are nice enough and comfortable but there are non functional carnival type things that are an eye sore unless they are going for the haunted vibe (an old Ferris wheel and a bumper car area and an ice cream store are just sitting there rusting and unused). The trolley pick up system is good though with all the hills. Beach is close and maybe because it was low season it was really quiet which we loved. Very family friendly so we didn’t have to worry about our 3 kids ruining someone’s honeymoon. Food was ok, nothing to rave about but I found something I liked every day. Was happy with the bar. Staff were friendly. They had a pack and play we were able to use. I messaged through Expedia and got no response. If you want to reach them I would use WhatsApp. The view I will say is gorgeous, what a wonderful location. The 2 infinity pools are nice and we would spend all day there. The kids pool was in need of repair and the hot tub did not work. Gym was pretty nice, had a decent amount of equipment for a resort. Overall, we made the most of it and got what we were expecting.

Our room was disgusting there were so many bugs in it and a dead moth right on the kitchen counter after we had to wait an hour for them to clean the room. We didn’t mind that but to walk into a dirty room after waiting to clean it is crazy. The beach bar and other facilities like the carousel and ferris wheel were shut on weekdays. This was extremely frustrating for the beach bar since that was one of the reasons we booked and that was not specified. The towel bar and front desk shut very early. We would need help and no one would answer the front desk phone even during their operating hours. There is only wifi in the main area and not in any of the rooms. This was insane because we would need wifi for directions or other reasons. We even had signal by the beach but there was absolutely none in our rooms which was so inconvenient.
