These charges were not clearly disclosed upfront. To make matters worse, the property was not even properly cleaned! For a $250 cleaning fee, you would expect the place to be spotless. “Deena was a wonderful hostess. Very attentive to making our vacation special. The condo was beautiful. We loved the location, the privacy, the BBQ right off the lanai and lots of parking. Lastly the peek a boo view of the ocean was delightful. The walk to the great lawn and the beach allowed us to stroll the grounds several times a day. There is so much to love about Kiahuna plantation, it is a Hawaiian paradise in every every way. Of course we booked the same place for next year. Until……

“What a great spot if you’re staying on the South end. The condo is spacious, has a fabulous lanai, a well stocked kitchen, and a comfy bed. Just a short walk to Poipu beach for sunrise and sunset walks and turtle and seal viewing. Also Maha’ulepu trail is quite close for a great scenic hike. The hosts were super attentive and helpful and left some welcome snacks which was a nice touch. While there is no AC, the condo is on an upper floor and gets plenty of breezes to keep it cool.”

“Awesome 2 bedroom condo right off the beach. It has great swimming pools and work out facilities. The gas grills were key for feeding a family of 5 considering eating out gets really expensive on the island. Just wish for the amount that we spent we would have gotten a full size kitchen. It had a microwave oven. There is no conventional oven and the electric stove only had 2 very weak cooking surfaces. The time share owner condominiums have better amenities. The front desk staff was friendly……

“We enjoyed our stay in Kauai at the Kiahuna Plantation Resort. The room was nice and clean and the AC was crucial. The Kiahuna beach was very nice and the amenities onsite were good. We could partially see the ocean from our room but we could not hear it. We did not use the swimming pool or gym facilities because they were a bit of a walk across the street but the nieghborhood was really great. The lanai was awesome but the AC outlet is on the lanai with you and was exhausting hot air pulled out……

“This is a great property. I stayed here with my wife, and two small children, and we had a blast. We got the air conditioners option which was probably necessary with the July heat for our kids to be able to sleep comfortably. The walk to Poipu beach was splendid and easy to get back and forth to. Make sure to plan your meals well in advance, and not hope to find something decent to eat nearby after 7:30pm or so. “Best thing about this place is location. Very close to beach and strip mall right across from this resort property. Few things which were disappointing was the noise from the wild chickens that wander the property. They started making noise every morning at round 3AM. They are loud and I had to put on my noise cancellation headphones to get back to sleep. The front desk gave me patrol phone number to call if it repeated next day and it did and no once answered when I tried calling multiple……

“Nice unit in a great location. A couple of issues with bedding but the owner made it right. Would stay at this location again. The beach was great and loved the complimentary fitness club access and the nice assortment of restaurants nearby.”
