Chalet do Relógio d'Água is a wooden house in a rural setting near the village of Ponta do Sol, recommended for hikers, sports enthusiasts and those who want to get away from urban centres.

The house has an area of approximately 36 m² and includes a bedroom with a double bed (135 × 185 cm), a bedroom with a bunk bed, a bathroom and a small living room with a kitchen and dining table.

There is a spacious, partially covered balcony with a dining table and a fabulous view of the ocean and surrounding farmland, ideal for relaxing in the late afternoon and enjoying the fabulous sunsets, with especially intense colours in autumn.

The house is equipped with air conditioning in the living room, a refrigerator, washing machine, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, TV with international channels and other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxing stay.



📍 NEIGHBOURHOOD

The house is in a rural area at 620 m from sea level and at 7 km from the village of Ponta do Sol, where there is a beach and some restaurants and cafes.

At about 400 m there is a small supermarket and at 350 m there is a restaurant.

Ponta do Sol is located in the southwestern part of the island, which has the best weather conditions in Madeira.

A few kilometres away there are stunning cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.

Nearby you can enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other nautical activities.

The property has access to the main roads.



⚠️ PLEASE NOTE

A car is recommended for this location. As some roads in Madeira are steep and narrow, smaller vehicles are recommended.

There is free parking at the house or on the street.

The accommodation is not shared, but the lower floor, beneath the accommodation, is used occasionally by the owner.

As this is a rural area, there may be noise from dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties.

The house is made of wood and has the characteristic smell of treated wood inside. If you are sensitive to this type of smell, we do not recommend this house.

Weekly maintenance cleaning, including a change of bed linen and towels.

We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance covering cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent their stay.

If you have special needs or allergies, please contact us before booking so we can confirm whether we are able to accommodate them.

Due to the island's location and climate, the presence of insects and small lizards is natural, and they may be attracted by food scraps. We kindly ask that you keep surfaces clean and food properly stored.

For anyone who is not comfortable with the presence of insects and lizards, we do not recommend staying in a rural area.

For those sensitive to mosquito bites, we recommend using repellent when getting around the island.

An online pre-check-in form will be sent to collect the identification details required by law.

In-person check-in is by prior appointment. We will wait up to 60 minutes after the scheduled time; beyond that, it may be necessary to arrange a new time.

So that we can resolve any issue promptly, we ask that you report any faults or cleaning shortcomings immediately. Reports made after check-out may no longer be verified or resolved.
