Great location, house needs some upgrades.

The Pros:Great Location.Private Beach.Close to Restaurants and Publix. Cap’s and The Reef are great! Beds were comfortable.Clean, updated bathrooms.Outdoor shower to wash off after the ocean (we had to make it quick because the mosquitos were eating us alive).Great deck to watch the ocean (we didn’t get to enjoy this feature because of the mosquitos).Screened porch was handy for keeping the sandy items, but the interior door would not stay shut from the outside. Plenty of bath towels, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags etc. The Cons:Kitchen pans are damaged non-stick. We decided not to cook anything. Carpet in the two bedrooms was gross. Lack of window coverings - one bathroom has an exterior door that has no covering. The back of the house, with the exception of the bedrooms, has no window coverings. It was turtle season, so we sat in the dark every night to comply with city light ordinances. Washing machine was molded and smelled.Showers appear to be well stocked but the shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty. The air conditioner had a hard time keeping up during the day, and the bedrooms were always hot (Temps were in the 90s while we were there and thankfully there are fans in each room). The drive way is quite difficult to pull all the way up to the kitchen door for easy unloading. It’s narrow and the trees are overhanging. So we ended up just using the front door.Overall the had a great stay, but we had to make some compromises.

Family Trip 2024

Lighting is poor in many areas, Dirty windows. It was fine. Bathroom off kitchen had no privacy. The door outside should have had a shade or some other covering. Need more towel bars especially right out side the shower stalls (all). We loved the location and grounds.
