Great location.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Location of this house is wonderful. The only complaint was short cuts made in construction. Alot of the doors wouldn't stay closed unless they were slammed.

New year's stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is newly constructed in a wonderful location with a beautiful, quiet beach right out outside. We spent many a relaxing day either with the doors open to enjoy the sound of the surf or exploring the beachfront with dog and kids in tow. There was ample space in the home for three families/10 people. This house suited our needs well. Everyone had a bedroom and bathroom and could find space together and apart. It was wonderfully clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with many kitchen gadgets. The management company was receptive, available and prompt in dealing with the issues that arose.There were a number of issues, the biggest ones being spotty internet (a tradeoff for the location), no hot water for the first day and a half (the safety devices on all the showers had not been removed), several pieces of broken furniture, and third floor balcony doors that were unable to be secured and swung open with every brisk breeze. This house has many construction quirks that would make it undesirable as the owner, but as a temporary renter, none were big enough to impact our vacation. Plus they make for good future stories.We enjoyed our stay and appreciated all that the remoteness and calm of the location offered. We recharged and spent long hours catching up with family that we had not seen in over a year. We would come back to this lovely area and use this management company again.

Fantastic Property but Poorly Managed

The location of the property and the amenities of the house are fantastic! The space on the three floors allowed our very large party of 11 adults, two teenagers and two toddlers to gather when we wanted to be together but separate when we didn’t. The private pool and short protected walk to the beach were phenomenal and watching the sunrise and sunset from the second and third floor balconies was amazing. However, the 3 person cleaning crew assigned to this house could not possibly clean it between 10 am check out and our 5 pm arrival. We found empty bottles and massive dust bunnies under the beds, sheets were not put on many of the beds and there were blood stains on some of the sheets that were on the beds. I would highly recommend adding more people to the cleaning crew of this house! Additionally, there were numerous maintenance issues that were not resolved during our stay. The dryer and ice maker did not work during our stay despite numerous calls to the property management. These caused added expense (had to buy ice) and inconvenience (we could not wash our clothes). The deadbolt lock and one of the towel hangers on the ground floor doors was also not fixed during our stay. Despite all of these issues, we still had a marvelous stay. The location, house and amenities are simply fantastic and we had the beach to ourselves much of the time. I would stay here again if the property management adds to the cleaning crew and fixes the maintenance issues.

Great Location/House Needs Work

Maintenance company did a great job fixing what they could. Hanging around waiting for maintenance people is something I do enough of at home, not interested in doing it on vacation.

Great location, beautiful house, BUT was not clean

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Housecleaning issues-refrigerator had not been cleaned, the table was dirty, and throughout the week, we continued to sweep up dog hair (please note, there is a broom but no dust pan there). It is a pet friendly house, so I can understand some dog hair, but it seemed as if it really had not been cleaned all that well. The showers also had mildew in the grout and corners.The bedroom on the bottom floor had extensive water damage, was moldy/damp, and smelled musty.Several bathrooms were missing multiple bulbs.Over the last 10 years, we have stayed in several houses around the Cape. Unfortunately this was the worst of them.

Stay at Cape San Blas

The house had a few items that were not finished from construction which were not a big deal and we could over look that. The cleaning people were not good. All the beds were not made when we got there. Dirty towels were still on the pool table. Some of the beds that were made had sand and gold fish crackers in them, making me think that the sheets had not been changed at all. Also we went through Tropical Storm Fred and when the downstairs bedrooms were leaking we were informed there was nothing they could do or would do to help. Not even provide towels or something to mop up water with. The elevator quit working and this was a real inconvenience when it came to bringing luggage and miscellaneous stuff downstairs when we were leaving. We loved the area and being away from crowds and having our own basically private beach. That was very nice. Overall the stay was great, it was just the cleanliness that was a concern of ours.

Wonderful Home

Great Family Getaway

The beach was so close and was not crowded in our area- it was like having a private beach! The pool was great and was used a lot. The kitchen and living area on the top floor were open and never felt crowded with our group. We enjoyed the extra living space in the basement as well.

Nice House, Clean

Reviewer Comments: The stay was very nice. The house was very clean when we arrived. The view was really superb! The beds were comfortable. There were no dressers except for one room. We basically lived out of our suit cases. The house is well designed for multiple families. There were a few interesting quirks however. When it rained hard, water flowed in on the first floor rec floor and even to a lesser extent on other levels as well. In order to get hot water flowing in the kitchen we had to turn the hot water on in the bathroom?? But no hot water ever flowed from the bathroom faucet. Really I would not know how to plumb that if I wanted to. Then there is no cover or garage to keep you out of the rain. On one occasion we arrived at night. The key was in the lock box and it was raining hard. We were soaked by the time we arrived at the front door and then we had the unique experience to stand under an amazing water fall from the roof while we tried to open the lock box in the dark. But all good. We had a great time and did not mind the small quirks. Cape And Coast was absolutely awesome though out our visit.

A Thanksgiving to remember

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family ( husband and two elementary age boys) stayed in Palmetto with my mom, father and stepfather for Thanksgiving 2020. The home was absolutely gorgeous and was even more beautiful and custom than the pictures. The kitchen was perfect for large groups and the bedroom/bathroom layouts were perfect. All the same size and finish so there wouldn’t be any squabbling over bedrooms. Access to the beach was simple and this part of the Cape was very remote. Closest next person to us was 200 feet away.There were some issues with the house that we reported and all were just final construction punch list items. Mostly little things like handles broken, or towel racks not connected well. The elevator was a problem and we had a maintenance guy come out to help get it back running. We would most definitely stay here again!!!

Big Family Vacation

The house was clean and had a good layout for the family to enjoy each other while cooking and eating meals. The pool was perfect. And being on the beach was amazing. We loved that it had an elevator for getting coolers to the kitchen and for our elderly family members to be able to enjoy the whole house and easily get to the pool and beach access. The Cape and Coast office personnel were attentive and answered questions as quickly as possible. Although the house had maintenance going on while we were visiting everyone was kind and courteous to us during our stay. This 7 bed 7 bath house was great for us and we definitely recommend it!

Nice house but needs some work.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice location, pool, parking and layout. Hurricane Sally kept us inside a few days but we made the best of it and had family time. At check in we had to wait an hour in the driveway, the cleaners were still there. We were really looking forward to playing pool but there was no pool table like it said in the listing. We had to call maintenance to fix the elevator landing doors because they were jamming and we got stuck. One of the king beds was missing the fitted sheet. 2 kitchen chairs were broken. One of the pool gate locks was hanging off. Some TV’s weren’t hooked up, were missing dish boxes and one TV had the HDMI cord ripped out of it. We found a Dish box under a bathroom sink and a remote in one of the beds. Holes in the drywall around one of the rooms light switches had tissue stuffed beside it, no switch for the garbage disposal, broken windows, no transition strip from bathroom to bedroom in one bedroom. Ice maker didn’t work. Several closet doors and pantry doors wouldn’t close. Some bathrooms had ledges in the showers some didn’t. No benches or hand rails, exhaust fans didn’t work in all bathrooms. The under sink cabinet doors had no handles to open them so you had to squat down to open them from floor level. All the deck furniture was covered in dog hair from the people before us. The beds were lumpy. One vertical slat off center and about 3 horizontal slats that made the mattress sink into the spots that had no support. The beach facing sliding glass doors in the suites only had sheer curtains. The exterior door lock broke on the inside as well as another pool gate. Called maintenance again, they couldn’t fix it so they left to get one. Never came back. To lock the door we had to lock it from the outside, walk around to the other side of the house in the rain to get back in another door. We noticed the door wasn’t sitting right in the frame and you had to lift the door for it to lock which is what p

Beautiful but Unfinished

Stunningly beautiful but unfinished new build. Advertised property amenities unfinished, not working or completely missing. Unable to use one bedroom for 2 nights due to flooding caused by loose water line prior to our arrival. Two big industrial fans were used to dry floor from Saturday-Monday and were extremely loud & obstructed the hallway. Elevator did not work 99% of the time., forcing stair use for senior guests needing access to 3rd floor kitchen/dining area. Rain storm water leaked from ceiling around exposed electrical cables onto ground floor rec room. Low water pressure issues in all showers in 2nd & 3rd floor bathrooms. No hot water in 3rd floor bathroom. Bathroom mirrors installed with double sided tape. Suite 5 mirrors appeared to be installed atop sink stoppers and prevented safe sink use. Broken window in same bathroom allowed rain water to collect between panes becoming stagnant and filled with bugs. One mirror completely missing from Suite 4 bathroom. No water one afternoon in kitchen. Weather stripping missing from all patio doors allowing bugs & mosquitoes to enter. Ceiling fan in ground floor master not wired. Garbage disposal not connected and on/off switch not installed. Swimming pool lights not connected and on/off switch not installed. No outlet cover in ground floor hallway. No cabinet door or drawer pulls in bathrooms causing difficulty in opening. Sewer smell emanating from ground floor owner's closet. No pool table as advertised as amenity. Only one outside garbage container provided to accommodate up to 23 guests. Construction materials (paint buckets, ladder, quikrete, dry wall paste, etc.) left under carport. Surrounding grounds on property littered with construction debris. I personally spent numerous hours over several days of my vacation reporting issues and waiting for repair technicians . However, please know the property management team was extremely responsive and caring (thank you Holly, Lilly, Zoe, Matt & Stephen) but they were unable to overcome builder issues during our stay. These issues detracted from the wonderful accommodations of a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, lovely furnishings, private swimming pool and excellent beach access. I am disappointed that an unfinished property with multiple issues could be rented to the public. I believe that monetary compensation is justified given the considerable inconvenience I and my guest experienced during our stay.
