There were tenants above but never heard them. The place is well lit and there are some small windows that let light in. We never felt like we were in a lower level. It definitely isn't the type of hotel room that you spend a lot of time in, but its Moab and there is so much to do that you don't spend a lot of time in the hotel anyway. The location is ideal.
