Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay at this resort left me frustrated enough to warn others: avoid this place if you’re expecting a relaxing, accommodating vacation.
We stayed here for a friend’s wedding held on the resort grounds, which should have been a beautiful, memorable event (and it was, in spite of the resort itself). The wedding brought in a large group of guests, around 60 people staying at the resort. In other words, the resort made a significant amount of money from this event alone, yet they still couldn’t be bothered to provide decent service or basic hospitality.
Let’s start with the nickel-and-diming. This place finds every excuse to charge you extra. Need an extra towel in your room? That'll cost you. Want to use the safe in your room? There's an extra fee for that, too. It’s absurd for a resort that advertises itself as "all-inclusive."
Check-in and check-out were a mess. We waited far too long both times, and when we were leaving, they tried to charge us for something that was clearly their mistake. It took an argument and a lot of wasted time to get it sorted out.
Then there are the endless rules that make the whole place feel more like a strict summer camp than a relaxing resort:
* You're allowed only one set of towels per person in your room.
* They don’t fully restock toiletries each day. We ran out of shower gel and it was never replaced.
