I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this resort. Upon arrival, the room was in unacceptable condition. The bathroom was dirty, the sliding balcony doors had no locks, the safe was broken, and the phone was not working. When I went to guest services, I was initially told that a room change was not possible. Only after insisting was I moved to a more acceptable room. Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the resort were lacking. While the pools themselves were beautiful, there were very few pool and beach chairs available, only a handful at each pool, which made it difficult to relax. The same issue existed on the beach, where we were expected to rent chairs, which was frustrating. The food was average overall. I will say that the buffet staff were wonderful and provided great service. However, the à la carte restaurants were disappointing, both in terms of food quality and service. Overall, due to the condition of the rooms, lack of amenities, and inconsistent service, I would not recommend this resort.

1) I rented 2 queen bedrooms unit. They tried to put us in a 1 bedroom unit. 2) I ask for a ground level unit. They put us on the 3 floors unit. 3) they gaven us an tour of the resort to later offer us a highly pressured sales tactic time share unit.

The room was not cleaned. The bathrooms were filthy and the AC was not running properly. The beds were not sturdy enough to where most of the time they were making noise and the middle were sinking. We had to sleep on the corner to avoid further discomfort. The refrigerator in the room was not working so we had to move some of our stuff to the next room. The chairs were broken and we couldn’t seat on them. The beach view was alright however the currents were very strong. We try spending some family time at the VIP beach spa and one of the beds that are supported by cables snapped while we were laying on it.

During my stay, several serious issues significantly impacted my experience: I was without a functioning shower for two full days. For 2 more days, there were no towels in my room, and despite repeated requests, none were delivered. The air conditioning in my room did not work. My room key failed daily, requiring me to return to guest services multiple times each day for replacement. The television in the room was not operational. Guest services were consistently unhelpful and unresponsive, forcing me to visit the front desk 5–6 times per day to address ongoing issues. When I requested a room change due to these persistent problems, my request was denied without reasonable explanation. This level of service and maintenance falls far below acceptable hospitality standards. The time and inconvenience caused, combined with the lack of basic amenities, significantly disrupted my stay and rendered it far from the experience I paid for. In addition they take you on a 2 hour tour sales pictch to buy a membership. They dont tell you anything about it until your in it and dont let you leave. Food was terrible. They have many restaurants but your obly allowed to go to a couple then they only had 3 open a night which you had to make reservations to which was filled up until Saturday. I've traveled all over the world ans never experienced this many issues with NO help in making anything better. Worst trip ever and this was supposed to be a special trip for my child.

The lack of wifi in the rooms is a major red flag. Even if you pay for wifi, it only works in the lobby. The food is just average , nothing special. The hotel is really old and needs refurbishing.

Room furniture was falling apart, chairs were broken. There was a checklist of items they wanted you to take note of upon check in (some items were missing and they made note but not replaced). Fridges were dirty and broken. Shower head was broken and had to be replaced three times before it was fixed. Mold was in the rooms, beds are hard. Jet Tub in room did not appear clean so it was not used. Towels were not readily available. Request for extra blankets had to be made 2 days in a row before 1 of 2 requested was given. Food was poor temperature, same food was offered just about each day. Reservation process for restaurants was not feasible. There are many things that were wrong for the few things that were right to matter. The list is too long for me to continue, make the best of your stay if you book but don’t expect much. They property would be great if it was managed properly.

Clean room but updates needed. Toilet seat was burnt, shower curtain rod barely attached to the wall. Hot water was a rarity. Only 2 water bottles restocked daily - more needed as your using them to brush your teeth. Other things in mini fridge not restocked. Missing some things in room upon arrival - face clothes, cups. Overall clean, food was good. Dont go for the beach - lots of trash, murky water, no bar on the beach, no chairs. Pools are good, a couple need painting. Service varied. Timeshare salesmen a constant in first couple days - so say no to the tour/breakfast (heard they use up to 6 hours of your time) Spa services really good. Hard to get ala carte reservations so do it asap. Expedia rep super helpful and friendly.

The pools were very dirty and not cleaned the duration of my stay. I ended up with a urinary tract infection. As well, on the Wednesday of my stay I ended up with food poisoning from the buffet. This was awful. The amount of stairs needed to navigate to get anywhere was overwhelming and confusing. The beach was always dirty and I tripped on a rusty steel pipe that was sticking out of the sand. No mention if you have mobility issues about this anywhere. I will never stay here again!

We started out with being put in a room we did not pay for and it was dirty, full of mould, no water, no lock on the door, broken patio door glass, rv didn’t work, and things were missing in the room that the front desk gave a checklist to ensure everything was there and to report what was missing or we would get charged. They moved us to a different room which was a little bit better than the one we had however, the table lamp didn’t work, we had no water or hot water for the first day, the power kept shorting out, the pipe under our bathroom sink leaked water all over the floor if you turned the water pressure above medium pressure, the coffee maker leaked, the beds were hard and pillows were barely stuffed, our room service sucked, didn’t listen to our requests, we stayed for 9 days and I was sick in bed with a stomach bug I caught for 4 days, diarrhea and vomiting was not fun, we had no bottle water for two days after requesting for some, the guest services said they would fix the things we complained about but nothing was resolved. Most the food sucked, the drinks taste either really strong or like syrup, they cross contaminated their fruit with vegetables as I don’t believe onion flavoured papaya is an actual thing, they would take your towels and face clothes out of your room and replace it the next day if you didn’t notice it was gone. There were 62 stairs to our ground suite, no elevators and hills up and down at different distances to go anywhere. Overall aweful!

The rooms aren’t the best. It’s fine though since you arent in there much. If you get the yellow bracelet you don’t have much available to you. I had the blue and we were allowed at the VIP beach which is MUCH better than the Cofresi one. Alcohol is pretty good and buffet food it not bad. You are only allowed a certain amount of restaurant reservations depending on how long your stay is. For a week it’s 2-3. I’m guessing it’s more if you stay longer.
