Inglis Pumpkin Island Hotels

"When we arrived we were informed that they were renovating the facility. We were told they were replacing windows and that the crews would start at 8 am. We were then informed that the restaurant and bar were closed. They did start replacing windows the next day and were banging and making a LOT of noise with drills. We opened the back door to our room to get fresh air. My sister had her service dog with her and the dog would bark when they were banging and making noise drilling. She barked maybe 6 times. We received a call from the front desk asking about the dog. My sister informed them she is a service animal and offered to bring her service animal paperwork for them to see. They said that wasn't necessary. We were booked in to the hotel for 2 nights. On the second day (my sister's birthday) the management called me and told me we were being evicted because the dog was barking. I explained the dog barked because of the banging and drilling from the window replacement. The management did NOT care and they actually kicked us out of the hotel. I told the front desk I wanted a FULL refund for the night we were missing. They said they would refund Expedia and I would need to get my refund from Expedia. We had to change hotels and pay $356 for the night of my sister's birthday. All in all this was a terrible experience!!!"

"The property is lacking however the location is good and staff were helpful ! Parking near our unit was handy for motorcycle ! The rest and tiki bar on property is great ! "

"Good value for a hotel in Chrystal River. Room was upgraded well and clean. Bathroom was clean but could use minor calk replacement. Staff was super friendly and although not advertised, a continental breakfast was included. We would stay there again. "

"Classic Old Florida! 2 lines of rooms. All with kitchenettes, plenty of room to relax and move around. Wanted to try the spring fed pool, but we ran out of time! Ospreys circled the hotel each morning. Walking trail right behind rooms. Easy walking distance to downtown. Just a great place to stay😎💯"

"This is an odd property. First, it's a motel, which wasnt clear to me, but no problem. The motel Is difficult to find & even more annoying to park across the street at some run down motel. We tried to take the handicap spot, but there is no overnight parking for disabled. The check in woman was bizarre and semi confrontatal. We told her we planned to see the Manatees. She said there's no way we will see any & then accused the kayak company of lying. She was a weirdly hostile. The restaurant they boast of was closed on a Thursday. The room. Omg. It was so strange. The layout is so poorly designed. Office chairs & shelves. Nowhere to sit. The rooms are big, so a lot of potential squashed for a sterile & unwelcome place. You know it's bad, when a customer checking in, said , well luckily it's only one night. We could not wait to get out of there. "
