Perfect Location

We so many animals. Comfortable home for my adult family and the Property Manager helped us set us some great activities. I highly recommend asking him about the private chef too.

Family vacation

We spent 4 nights here with a group of 7 ages 17-75 and loved it. Property and views were beautiful; staff was great. Saw tons of wildlife just hanging around the house. Several restaurants within easy walking distance. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Anniversary trip

Life in the jungle! An abundance of wild life moves through the property throughout the day (and night). Several types of monkey's, Kinkajou, Toucan, Macaw's. We saw it all and we saw it all the time. A quick walk takes you from the property to a fantastic beach! Gentle enough for daily swims, big enough to pull out the surf boards! And walking distance to several restaurants and shops in Manual Antonio.The house is stunning. We traveled with multiple generations and had their own comfortable space. Finding a place with as many bathrooms as bedrooms isn't easy. This place checked all the boxes. It was extremely lean upon arrival and the daily housekeeping was next level! We'll never be that spoiled again! We were all beyond please witht he accommodations and highly recommend to larger groups! Five star for sure!

Wonderful experience

It was an absolutely outstanding stay! Wonderful home and pool and proximity to the beach. A tremendous amount of help everyday with the check in process and daily cleaning and laundry services. It was a truly wonderful stay!

Great location, attentive check in and staff. House is amazing, wildlife is abundant right on the property. Great food within walking distance and plenty of activities within a 3 KM radius.

Casa Alegria feels like a private, luxury resort. The top floor features a gorgeous view of the ocean and islands through the floor to ceiling, building-wide glass windows. We could have sat on the deck, or inside, all day. The beach down the steep but short road begs for a walk along it to town or to lounge on the sand. The pool area provided a lot of fun too. The dining area and accommodated the eight of us comfortably. The bedroom suites felt large and beautiful. We enjoyed the capuchin monkeys visiting during the day. Unfortunately, we never spotted the resident sloth. The maid cleaning daily and doing our laundry was an unexpected bonus.

Wonderful property and excellent staff

We enjoyed ourselves so much at this beautiful property. It was as good as advertised, clean, well maintained, lovely views, close to the water and restaurants. And Alexander was a great host, very helpful with advice, excursion bookings and even booked us a chef so we could enjoy the wonderful accommodations even more. Cleaning staff was amazing, even did our laundry. This was a wonderful way to start our vacation in Costa Rica. It was hard to leave!

Amazing Property and Staff

This property was everything and more than we expected. A beautiful home, an excellent location close to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. A wonderful pool and spa. Excellent staff who kept the property in top shape throughout our stay and responded immediately to any questions or requests. Property was stocked and we had everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation. We highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a dream vacation in Costa Rica.

Incredible views from every floor and room

Casa Alegria is an wonderful house in a great location. The house has everything you need. Every room and each floor has incredible views. And the staff is fantastic. We can’t wait to come back again.

Great House Near Beach

The house is a quick walk down hill to the beach where there is a restaurant on the beach and lots of activities. You can either walk back up the hill or take a taxi up. It's close to all restaurants and shops in town. Perfect location. The staff is excellent! Alex will help with all info about the town and any excursions you want to take.

Amazing property!

This house was fantastic! It was incredibly clean and spacious, had amazing views, and was perfectly situated close to the beach and restaurants. We absolutely loved our stay and hated to leave! Alexander was a very responsive and helpful host. We had zero issues and will definitely choose this home again if we make it back to Costa Rica!

My wife and I stayed here and it was great. The wildlife you see at the house is just like walking through the forest. Alex set us up with tours with local people and they were all great. He was very helpful and all of his recommendations were fantastic

Amazing

The house is very spacious and well equipped. The pool was great. We saw so much wildlife right on the property there wasn’t much point going to the national park. The beach and the park were easily accessible. Alexander and his staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Casa Alegria. We would all love to go there again.

Amazing House

Amazing, spacious, and VERY clean! Alexander and his crew took excellent care of us. Set up day tours for us with pick up to and from the house. Very short walk to the beautiful beach. Daily visits from monkeys, toucans, and howler monkeys.

Absolutely fantastic

The house is spacious and beautiful. The view is amazing. It's a short walk down the hill to the beach and the walk back up is not as bad as expected. Alexander was easy to communicate with and Haley the housekeeper was wonderful. Location is great for everything. Sloths in the trees, monkeys and birds all around. I would come back here in a second. It would be hard to beat this home for the comfort, space, convenience, it just has everything.

Absolute paradise

We loved everything about this property. Perfect location if you want a up close and personal wildlife experience. Our kids/young adults woke up early every morning to catch the capuchins and spider monkeys. There is also a sloth in the tree. The house is immaculately clean. Haley, the house cleaner is the best! She even helped us find the sloth in the tree. We were sad to leave the spectacular views, beautiful weather and wildlife.

thanksgiving holiday

We had a great time. The house was comfortable but could use some updating on furniture and lighting. The staff were amazing and you will definitely see monkeys!! The only real negative of the trip was the construction project directly below the house. They worked from 7AM to 7PM six days a week and made it almost impossibleto enjoy the pool and porch areas. Otherwise great stay.

WOW

We did not want to leave... This house is beautiful on all levels. We arrived at night and woke up in paradise. A sloth hanging on the tree and two types of monkeys playing around the house. Toucans flying around the pool and magical views. The nearby beach is also great. We enjoyed walking to delicious restaurants in the neighborhood and just wished we were able to stay longer. Thank you, Alex & team for being wonderful! We hope to come again soon :)

Monkeys, Sloths, and More!!

This house was an amazing experience. Monkeys in the trees, a resident sloth, and birds galore! Our host, Alex, and hostess, Haley, made our stay an absolute delight. We wanted for nothing. Cleanliness and beauty abound. The pool was so delightful in the evenings, too. Very spacious and provided plenty of separation between guests. Well-appointed kitchen and bedrooms. Right on the bus-line, too, so transportation into Quepos for dinner and sightseeing was easy, and the beach was a short walk away. This house was all and more than we imagined. Will definitely be back! Pura Vida!!

First time to Costa Rica ~ we will be back!

We spent 6 nights in paradise. Our host, housekeeper, and grounds-keeper spoiled us. Our neighbors (the sloths, monkeys, and birds) made our stay magical. The space is so wonderful for shared family time (i.e. open kitchen, big decks, pool area) and privacy (4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms). The walk to the beach is steep, but lovely. The sand & surf are private and gorgeous. Location is absolutely perfect for exploring the area by car or foot. We look forward to returning again next year! Thank you for an incredible, magical vacation! We will treasure it always!

Family Trip to Costa Rica

This was my first time using VRBO, and it was an amazing experience. Alex set us up with everything we needed. The excursions he recommended were great. The view from our balcony was breathtaking and the house great. Plenty of room for the 6 people in our group. Cleaning people came everyday and also did our laundry. The was a sloth that lived in a tree next to the house, and a group of monkeys that would visit every morning. The walk to the beach was a little steep but nothing too crazy. I would definitely recommend this property.
