"Staff A+ Every employee we encountered was friendly, professional, & positive despite difficult circumstances. The front desk, housekeeping & maintenance were doing their best & their efforts should not go unrecognized. Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing Hilton experience we've had. The property had numerous issues. We arrived at 4:15 PM & were told our room was not ready (checked in @ 4:50). The pool was closed. One set of elevators was shut down after repeated problems, & a guest become stuck in one. The remaining set was extremely slow despite not appearing busy. Finding ice was a 35-minute ordeal. Housekeeping directed me to a machine, which did not work, & after checking other floors, I gave up. Our bathtub faucet ran continuously (NOT just a drip), shower fixture was loose & the shower would not work at all (have video). I reported it in person & was told maintenance would fix it. We checked out at 11:45am & maintenance had never come, forcing us to leave without showering. We also spoke with three other families experiencing room readiness & quality issues. One family was leaving the property & one had already switched rooms twice. Embassy Suites has always been a favorite of ours, making this especially disappointing. I sincerely hope ownership & management invest in this location because the staff deserves a hotel that matches the level of service they provide. This location does not do Hilton proud at all!"

"There is not a ton of privacy in your room. I could hear everything from the room next door and I’m sure they could hear us. Also, the connecting door to the other room was left unlocked and someone walked into my room from the connecting room which was startling. The beds are not comfortable at all, and to top it off we found a small roach crawling up the glass shower on our first night. Oh, and there is no parking here unless you pay $45 a night for valet. The worst hotel I have stayed in at Laguna. I did like the ocean view and staying right on the beach, but you can find that almost anywhere in Laguna. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful overall, but I would definitely not book here again. Not the experience I was hoping for at all."

"The room I got was suppose to be not smoking but it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. There is no actually stove or dishwasher in the room. They have a one mini countertop stove that they take to your room upon request as well as the dishes and silverware. They do not take out trash, fill towels, toilet paper, or soap during duration of stay. Unfortunately it is very poorly maintained. Upon opening one of the room darkening shades one of the handles fell off. The bath tub faucet and shower head are barely hanging on for dear life. You have to be very careful when using them. The TV does not have any Internet so you just watch what's on satellite TV. They use vouchers for breakfast which I actually prefer as to avoid any breakfast chaos with a family of 6."
