"We have a large family - four adult kids, two of whom are married. This place was PERFECT for our annual family vacation together! It is very beautiful in its design and construction and wonderfully sited among the trees and other greenery. There is a lot of glass - large windows to showcase the natural beauty of the outdoors, yet it was private - no window was prone to views from beyond the property. There must have been great thought put into the siting of the house.The open floor plan arrangement was perfect for us. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all open to each other, making plenty of space for us to do what we enjoy....gathering as a large group to cook meals, play board games, and lounge in the living room to watch movies. The roof line is steep, making for tall spaces in the living room and the master bedroom. It has somewhat of an alpine lodge feel.It was well-stocked. We cooked a lot of meals there and found everything we were hoping for in terms of kitchen accessories - cooking utensils, plates, cups, pots/pans, etc. and basic items that one hopes will be there. I don't remember being unpleasantly surprised by a lack of anything we were hoping would be there.Everyone had their own bed. The master bedroom/bathroom suite is fantastic. It was quiet and restful. There are two gas fireplaces which we enjoyed, and large TVs with Airplay connection. Air hockey table. Comfortable furniture in all rooms. Nice table on deck. Luvit!"

"Location was great, right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Be sure to take screenshots of your check-in code before arriving as there’s spotty Wi-Fi so we couldn’t even call the host. We drove down the road until we got LTE bars on cell phone and then we could check in. Bed was comfy, shower good. Lots of privacy; didn’t hear the neighbors in the cabin next to Dripping Rock. Didn’t use the big tub. Loved the quiet location & all the fireflies. Saw lots of deer & bunnies. Arrived during the Canadian wildfire smoke so that obscured a lot of views. Be sure to visit nearby Sherando (?) Lake nearby: nice beach, outdoor shower, swim to an island, hike trails around it (no lifeguard so be attentive), campsites, picnic tables. Glad we picked it and way quieter than the massive Wintergreen resort."

"We loved this cottage for its convenience (location), comfort, interior design, the hot tub, and cleanliness. The inside is really lovely. The beds were very comfy, the kitchen well appointed, and the deck/hot tub/fire pits were great. I think we’d give it 5 stars if the yard benefitted from a bit of landscaping, so the view from the front porch (where we took our morning coffee) is improved. Some weeding and a few strategically placed hedges or trees would block the road traffic and view of a seemingly abandoned camper van next door, and invite more birds. Some pavers to the front door would be good, too, given the dirt/mud (it rained a couple of days). This seems like a new place, so maybe these are planned! Otherwise, we were very happy inside."

"The property was fine. The only thing that I could say to improve the description of the property is to forewarn the people coming about the steepness of the drive to the cabin. I have rented cabins elsewhere, and that one was the steepest drive that I have ever had to get to a cabin."

"Outstanding, very clean property with beautiful views. Every room was very well decorated and the beds and linens were extremely comfortable. Well appointed kitchen with the everyday items to get you by on your stay. Each evening was complimented with beautiful sunsets viewed from both the deck and hot tub. We look forward to staying here again."
