We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend!
The pod has our key box so no need to check in, you’re given the code before you arrive via email. We didn’t really speak to anyone at the site!
The garden was fully secure all round so the ease of our dog being able to be let out in the garden without a worry of him running off was so reassuring.
The hot tub was perfect, hot, clean and they checked on it every day.
There was a fire pit provided and logs/kindlings/lighters were able to be purchased for £10 from the honesty shop.
The pod was big and included a TV, dining table, two small sofas and a fully fitted kitchen with pretty much everything you needed! The only thing we found wasn’t there that would have been useful was foil and salt & pepper.
The bed was fairly comfortable- a bit difficult to get in and out of the slanted roof side of the bed. There was a full length mirror, dressing table and stool, shelves and under bed storage in both rooms. The bathroom was clean and the shower was really good quality. Only thing we would say is the toilet seat dips in towards the toilet bowl so was quite uncomfortable!
We couldn’t really figure out the heating but it was pretty warm during our stay and if we got chilly there was an electric radiator in the living room.
During our stay we visited a few places:
We visited the Hafren Forset which was beautiful and a really nice walk with access to the streams and amazing views- our pup loved it!
We also went to the Elan Valley Dams- not really our thing but the views were pretty amazing. A very long walk though so I would say drive between dams if you’re not much of a hiker!
On our last full day we visited Gilfach Nature Reserve which again had amazing views, fields for our pup to run off in (no cattle were grazing when we visited). We saw the waterfall and walked in the stream with our pup.
Food:
We cooked a cottage pie on our first night which we were so glad the kitchen was well equipped with all the dishes/utensils we needed.
We had a takeaway from Evan’s Plaice which was really nice! We also had a takeaway Indian from “Spice hut” but that wasn’t very good at all unfortunately.
There was a table/bench in the garden which was lovely to have our meals on but not great to sit round the fire so I would advise to take a camping chair if that’s something you wanted to do.
All in all we had a lovely stay!
