  • Secured gated New Mexico Casita, with private patios and tons of free parking, views of the lights of Albuquerque, plus non active volcanoes and the Sandia Mountains. Hot air balloons launch on most mornings around the house. Enjoy sunsets, wildlife like; barn owls, quail, vultures, Cooper Hawks, roadrunners and the sounds of coyotes moving thought the desert on a nightly prowl. During the sunsets you will see Great Horned owls swooping down to get their nightly snacks while thought-out the day you will see, Red-Tailed Hawks, large Crows, and Turkey Vultures fly over daily. We have just added a private blocked in back patio and out-door kitchen facing west, to enjoy our fantastic high desert sunsets - Natures best.

We loved it here! Bernie and Mike were the best hosts ever. We saw some interesting wildlife and enjoyed the sunsets, saw some balloons. All and all had a lovely time!

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. The accommodations were lovely, comfortable, with everything we needed to have a great visit with friends and family. The Sounds of Nature from the birds and animals brought quiet moments of special peace.The hosts were so caring, and we shared special time and social interactions with them! This sweet casita offered privacy, great views, and exceptional environment. We are delighted to have a new friendship with this charming, gracious couple! Thanks for a beautiful stay!

The property owners had great communication but also gave us privacy. There were plenty of clean linens and towels. Kitchen was clean and provided everything we needed to cook meals- grill on the back patio was a huge bonus. On Saturday morning we saw hot air balloons while sitting out back. Overall fun and enjoyable experience!

What a wonderful stay we had at the casita. It is set up with a guest's every need in mind. The decor is cheerful and welcoming -the whole place is excellently appointed. The hosts were available for any questions or concerns and could not have been more helpful, yet they were not intrusive. The sunset views are stunning. We had an easy drive to anything we needed in town. There is no doubt that we will stay at this delightful place on our next visit to Rio.

The Casita was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The bedroom is cozy and space is utilized well. My son enjoyed his sleeping arrangement on the couch, and the living room area is comfy to unwind in. The bathroom is large with a great shower/tub. Our host was very gracious and communicated well through the VRBO app. My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay.

Work and Play in Rio Rancho!

Awesome place to stay for work and fun! Hosts were nice, helpful, and friendly during our stay. Would definitely stay again! The casita was extremely nice and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

Comfortable, clean and peaceful

Michael and Bernie are great hosts and very nice. The Casita is very clean, comfortable and well stocked with basic kitchen and bathroom supplies. The location is peaceful with a beautiful view of the Sandia Mountains. We would stay here agsin.
