A week away in Masham

Lovely house to stay in for a week away in this great part of the country. Very peaceful - loved having no neighbours next door! This was our second visit and we would definitely stay again when we are next in this area. Liz, the owner, was very friendly and helpful.

A warm bath of sheer perfection

Our stay at Badger's Holt meant a new highlight in our holidays to the UK and Scotland. After a warm welcome - thank you for the gift basket! - we had the pleasure to enjoy a week's stay in a really perfect house in Masham. Everything was available and in perfect working condition. Masham is a splendid starting point for trips due to its location. Our hosts -Liz and Colin- were very pleasant and always willing tot help.

Fabulous cottage

Hosts Colin and Liz were very welcoming, providing a generous welcome pack. The cottage is very, very well equipped - we wanted for nothing, and really comfy. Only a 10 minute walk to village centre with plenty of good places to eat and drink. It's a fantastic base to explore surrounding towns and countryside, lots of information leaflets provided if you don't know the area. Wonderful holiday - even the unpredictable weather behaved!

Perfect for us

There were two of us staying at Badger’s Holt so we had plenty of room although with two bathrooms and a downstairs loo it is perfect for larger groups too. The property was clean, comfortable and well maintained and well equipped too. It’s in a great location for walks from the door and 5 minutes walk into town for visits to pubs, restaurants and, of course, breweries. Masham is lovely and part of its charm means there is a shortage of off road parking in the centre so having parking space at the property was a real bonus. Our hosts Colin and Liz were very friendly and welcoming and provided a lovely selection of goodies and essentials that were much appreciated. We may not be able to revisit this year but we definitely want to return.

A great place for a break away

My 2nd visit to Badgers Holt its a great place to stay on the outskirts of Masham. Every thing you need and more in the home itself. Topped off with some lovely Yorkshire sunshine

Great location for exploring the Dales

The property was very well equipped and in excellent condition. Masham was within easy walking distance with a surprising number of places to eat and drink, including two breweries, as well as 2 butchers a greengrocer and bakers. Wensleydale, Wharfedale and Swaledale are within easy driving distance.

Perfect place to stay

A lovely cottage, really well appointed and an excellent location. A perfect place for a short break. We couldn’t have asked for more. Looking forward to visiting again for a longer stay next time.
