“Property was spectacular, the view was impressive. Everything you need in a home away from home, the area is filled with nature! Many hikes and exploring then back to the house to relax and take in the awesome view. Short ride to Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley state parks. Very comfortable accommodations, we travel with our pups at least 2-3 times a year somewhere different and always stay at a VRBO home, this home was o e of the very best!”

“The place was great. Clean and friendly people all around. Didn’t like the master mattress but that might have been because we aren’t use to that type of mattress. Definitely coming back.”

“This was our second stay, and the first time we took our son trout fishing. The property is beautiful. The river was low and we didn't catch anything, but still had a great time. If I'm nit-picking, the living room could use a simple throw blanket. The stored ones are itchy and give me flashbacks to my grandma's house in the 80s. It could also use some type of curtain or blind in the main room, not only to feel less exposed in the evenings, but to insulate a little. It stays cooler in the big……

“The cabin is way back off the road in a wildlife management area. The area is beautiful and isolated yet a short drive to town. It's a small yet cozy little pet friendly cabin. We'd definitely stay again. ”

“Two friends and I stayed here during our alumni weekend at Davis & Elkins. It was the perfect spot for a girls' weekend. We loved the spacious kitchen, the cozy living room, and the extremely comfortable beds. Soaking in the hot tub was a great way to spend our first night there. The outside areas (deck, bridge, river, firepit) are fantastic. Unfortunately, we were gone during most of our stay and didnt have the time to enjoy them. The location is beautiful for a weekend away from it all.……
