“Jo and her staff couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast was lovely starting with a fresh fruit platter. Beautifully turned out and very comfy beds ”

“The hotel was lovely, the room was lovely, clean,comfortable and perfect size for a family room. The staff were all lovely and helpful in every way, breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.”

“I felt comfortable as a solo traveller. But then it was my home town for nearly 40 years. However staff fantastic. I didn't check in until quite late in the day, and was told my room would be in the 1st not grounds floor which I had asked for. But the reason was the lock on my ground floor was playing up and needed a repair. But I could lock from inside and although it was a struggle I managed it so it was my choice to take the ground floor. Peaceful night. Nice shower. Found duvet in……

“Nice location decent room but Tv is a lil dated and control was slow. The portion size food wise was a bit of a let down for me but it was decent. It may be one of the better/best hotels in the area.”

“The staff didn't know what they where doing , there was no ice or even an ice bucket when we requested them, lack of parking, lack of staff training and limited bar choice”

“Very convenient and clean (although slight damp smell throughout) and staff were lovely! This is a pretty basic hotel though - room large with comfy bed but warm - and if you don't have a room in the hotel itself you are nowhere near the sea - wasn't a problem for us. It's a very busy locals pub though which we were good with but not a tranquil seaside stay. And parking is tricky as need to top up at the off-site carpark at 8am each day. Good breakfast tho!”

“Room was spotless and no complaints at all”

“The bathroom was dirty, clearly had not been cleaned properly in some time, there was hair all over the floor, dirt build up around the shower tray and shower itself. Windows were also very dirty. The breakfast bag is not worth it as it’s not ready to go you have to wait 10mins for the hot part!”

“Plenty of parking available, the staff were friendly and helpful. The actual accommodation is very tired and dated. The sink in the bathroom was totally cracked and in my opinion could be dangerous.”

“Absolutely loved the Blue Boar, had a courtyard ground floor room, bar and seating areas are great. Breakfast was first class. Brilliant on site parking. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again 🙂”
