“This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area. A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one……

“My teenager and I were in the Auburn area to do some hiking - we arrived after sunset and the host was very hospitable to show us to our lodging and around the property, which included a clean full bathroom and some sports equipment to enjoy with my son. Would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy a glamping experience in a beautiful setting! ”

“Overall, excellent. We stayed 2 nights in winter. Roads were clear. A few other homes in sight but strong sense of privacy. Heating and cooking were good. Good tmobile data reception. Didnt try streaming. TV with DVD player and HDMI input. Driveway is between Bonnynook Rd intersection and american flag. Home is very clean and well equipped for your stay. Hosts are very accommodating and friendly. Top rating.”

“Our group of ten ladies enjoyed a three night stay at the Auburn property. The location of the home was in a very peaceful neighborhood. Playing our card games on the deck coupled with meaningful chatter about our daily golf game were highlights. Contacting our host was never a problem. We would definitely stay at the home again. ”
