“The only issue we had was there was no one to check us in, The contact numbers we had no one answered. We actually felt like we were trespassing. After driving around for an hour someone finally returned our call & messages and arranged to meet us. We had almost given up & were going to go home. Having said that we ended up having a really enjoyable stay :)”

“When we arrived just after 2pm it was like stepping onto the Marie Celeste. We finally found a few customers who told us that only member of staff doing front of house was getting ice cream for their daughter. When she appeared we asked about food but was told that the kitchen closed at 2 and that we would need to go out if we were hungry. Checking us in, she was very pleasant but hadn’t read my email sent a couple of days before to say we were bringing a dog which didn’t smack of……

“Room was very clean and tidy. The staff are amazing and there is loads of available parking to use. Great quiet location. This hotel is by far one of the best I’ve being to. If you get the chance get it booked.”

“Excellent apartment. Clean and tidy. Could benefit from a welcome pack with takeaway menus.”

“Manager very attentive upgraded rooms because of an issue with air conditioning. Small fridge would have been a bonus but everything we needed in all our rooms, extra water and condiments in hallway. Fresh fruit was a nice touch. Restaurant was 10/10. The only disheartening incident was being refused Scottish bank notes, it is legal tender, definitely not the welcome we expected. Scotland is still part of the United Kingdom.”

“We did not receive the check-in details via e-mail so could not check in and ultimately not stay overnight. The phone number that was with the booking was supposed to be a helpdesk with the operator being anything but helpful. We had a look for help at the property but could not find anyone on two separate occasions; we were also astounded to discover that the accommodation was in the middle of a wedding venue and NOT the wedding we were attending. We did manage to find a mobile number for……

“ We stayed for a night. Excellent support from James. In a quiet area and nice and clean room with comfortable bedding. Bathroom a bit small but clean and had all facilities. John Lewis tower fan was so essential for the night as it was hot. Ty James. ”

“Convenient location and clean. Easy checkin with the key available from pub across the road. Had unusual single cup kettle and coffee maker and good selection of teas and coffees. Lights and bathroom tap were on timing sensors and both were a bit annoying particularly the tap when you were trying to fill a jug for the kettle. Bedclothing was a bit tired and there were only 2 fairly flat pillows on a standard size double bed. The thing I really didn’t like though was the musty smell of bedding……

“A very nice B&B in a peaceful location and a pub is just a walking distance away! There is a court yard within the compound where one can relax. We enjoyed our one night stay here and enjoyed our full English breakfast. Thank you.”

“Good air con. Plenty of parking extra at rear. Clean room. Lots of light switches but only 1 worked. No shelf in shower to stand anything on. Taps in sink not enough height to get kettle access. Corridor lit very dim a bit creepy for ladies on their own. Price of drinks in bar were extortionate. Lots of cameras in bar ceiling I counted 9 at least. No intention of taking our own drink but felt like Stalag 13 with cameras watching everyone. The wedding was excellent but not a place I would……

“The staircase and entrance were filthy but the room itself was clean. There was NO toilet paper whatsoever and only I small shower towel and 1 hand towel for 2 people. The bed was extremely soft. The welcome tray was suitably stocked. There was no one on reception to ask for toilet paper.”
